This place is a great concept. It is a house with a garden backyard transformed into a restaurant. Every 3 days they offer a different world cuisine ranging from Afghan, Uzbek, Persian, Cuban, Thai, Peruvian, Swahili, Korean, etc. The portions are sufficient, there are usually 2-3 types of entrees/salad, 2 main dishes, rice, and dessert. The food is very tasty and flavorful. You pay what you think is fair but the drinks have a set price. The main dishes are usually chicken and meat done according to the set cuisine for that day, however I would recommend adding other types of main dishes as well, not necessarily chicken and meat, as I believe there are many out there.
The service is very fast despite the place being crowded most of the times, the owner is polite and checks on the guests often.
This has become my favorite restaurant in Lebanon as I love different world cuisines and they are found in this one place!

I would also recommend adding different cuisines for diversity.

PS: some say the place is hard to find, actually it's quite easy. They have put the location on google map, just follow it and it will lead you right to it. Also most Lebanese know Mar Mkhayel area.

It is an unique place. The outside area of the restaurant is equally beautiful as the inside. It is an old house renovated and very well decorated surrounded by a garden. The concept is unique for beirut since you pay as much as you want ... except for the drinks. You have one set menu composed from several dishes and it changes every time as we were informed. The food was good and the service correct. The owner was very friendly. I liked this unique spot in beirut: simple but still sophisticated ...!

It's a good place to go for a quite lunch, with seating outdoors and indoors. But difficult to find because it belongs to someone's house, so you probably will miss the entrance on your first try. When you do walk in, there is no one to explain anything to you. Just grab a plate and start serving yourself. There were 3 hot dishes and 2 cold dishes the day I went.

The place is a treasure! The garden is amazing and makes all the difference, the atmosphere is serene. I would have given it a 5 if the food was up to par with the place. The Japanese meal last night left a lot to desire - cold gyozas and tempura, very oily rice... not an interesting meal but the people and the place made up the difference. I have been before and the food was better - Iranian. Every few days there is a different menu. And pay as you please - what you think is fair.

We visited as a group of nine. It was a Persian cuisine evening . Some food was weird but not bad . Rice and chicken were nice. The idea of paying "as much as you want" was strange as you can see it as expensive or cheap depending how much you pay. I prefer a menu with specific prices. The guys there have this concept in a couple more places where they serve different cuisines every day or every couple of days.
