“Lovely hotel...few small issues”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2012

The hotel lobby and rooms are lovely and clean and the lobby restaurant very good. The shower was also very powerful! and the hotel is in an excellent location.
However, the 2 female staff at reception are rude and unhelpful.
Housekeeping do a good job. However, on a daily basis, our towels were removed and not replaced. Repeatedly we had to call down for new ones which eventually came, and repeatedly we were told by them 'sorry the hotel is short of towels!'.
The lifeguards are quite unfriendly. Taking more than 1 towel (1 to dry yourself after a swim, and the other to cover you sun lounge) is apparently excessive. They also make a big fuss that you need a pool card to get towels, yet reception didnt give us these!
One more irritating point is that there is no fridge in the room. There is a minbar, which is full and cannot be emptied! - If you want a fridge, one can however, be hired from the reception (if one is available!) for a small additional daily charge. This we felt was a bit of a cheek from a supposedly 4* hotel that charges accordingly!

Room Tip: Do request a room from the 'recently refurbished' part of the hotel. We heard from other gu...

Service is amazing, and the hotel is cute. No it is not the Ritz, but rooms are nice (wood floors) and you are close to the beach and there is a big gym and fabulous service (especially Yifat!). Breakfast may not be included in your rate (depends on where you book it), but it is excellent regardless, as is the view from the breakfast room (right on the ocean!). If you pay more (which I did not) you can also get an amazing ocean view. I paid for the cheapest room type and got a nice (less amazing, but still nice) view. The international call thing is also great, and there are computers with free Internet as well as wifi everywhere. They even have free bikes you can borrow. I have a small room, but totally functional, desk, bed, TV, great shower, super water pressure. I just checked in today and I am VERY happy here.

We have literally just returned from our second visit to this hotel. We are ready to turn round and go right back again. It was excellent in every way possible - location - staff - facilities - room - cleanliness. We asked for the same room as the previous year and were given it without any problem. The pool staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the young people who worked at the bar were so helpful and extremely polite. It is in no way overpriced and we look forward to returning next year for longer.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are large and the ones overlooking the beach offer a stunning view at any time of the d...

I spent three nights in this hotel at 220 US$/night. A complete ripoff. A small, poky room, very noisy airconditioning and minibar (finally i pulled the plug on the minibar to shut it up). Alongside the lift, which meant that every time it stopped at my floor I heard the annoying "ping". The staff are typically Israeli, ie: "pasotas" to the point of rudeness and not particularly helpful when trying to be helpful. But that is to be expected, and unlikely to change any time soon. Yes, the wifi works well and the breakfast buffet is good, but this doesn't compensate the rest.

As soon as you step into the hotel is like being back in the early 90's, it is tired. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful so the check-in process is painful.
We reserved and paid a room with seaview but got a side view of the street and sea, so technically is had a seaview but not what your expect as seaview.
The room was ok, nothing to remember, but the bathroom was horrible, looked cheap, dirty and was sort of smelly.
We had to catch an early morning flight so in the afternoon we asked the receptionist on the time she suggested for us to leave for the airport and, being 5 people (4 adults and 1 baby) we wanted a big taxi as regular taxis only allow 3 people. She told us to request it at the reception in the evening and they would make sure a big taxi was requested. The next morning, we had to take 2 regular taxis at 4am because they did not call for the big one. Beware of the taxis as you will believe they will charge for the night fee as published at the front desk (as they do not want to use the taximeter) but then, they will make you pay additional fees for your luggage (which did not happen with the taxi we took from the airport, with taximeter and luggage was even cheaper than what was originally quoted at the front desk). At the end, you leave the hotel unhappy because they did not fulifilled what was offered, cheated because it all looked as if they were in accordance with the taxi drivers and robbed because at that time there was no police at the airport to complain to, so we just had to pay for the extra, and incorrect, fees to that thief of a driver.
The hotel is not cheap so I suggest you to stay somewhere else.
