“Great Stay in Tel Aviv!”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

I had a perfect week in Tel Aviv Im never one to review a hotel or rest. but I was very impressed with the service and my over all experience. After a long 10 hour flight from NY the last thing I wanted to do was wait for my room to be ready. They made the check in so quick and easy. Every request i made was met favorably whether it was converters or ironing or dry cleaning everything was taken care of. The Hotel has a family boutique feel to it. I must have gained 10 pounds eating in their dining room over looking the ocean but I will certainly stay there again when I return!

We first went to this hotel in December 2011 on our way back from Eilat for a night. We were so happy with it (we booked two adjoining rooms) that we decided to return with another family.
We should have known that the stay was going to be turbulent as soon as we arrived. We checked in very late on a Wednesday with our three over tired kids, having booked a family suite they gave us a one bedroom, one bed. So we called and asked for two extra cots. Not getting too specific the cots arrived 1.5 hours later (after numerous calls down to reception). Finally everyone had a bed and slept. The next morning the manager spoke with us and gave us the booked family suite. When we first stayed at the park plaza we stayed in their newly renovated building, which was pretty awesome. This time we stayed in their decrepit run down building, old showers, old toilets, dated furniture all around. We stayed for four nights. Three of the four nights we waited two hours for extra bedding and cots for the kids. One night room service never even changed the sheets - how I know this, well we have a baby. Only on the last day did they actually clean the room (prior, cleaning was just not in the package). It's not a cheap hotel and frankly given price per service I'd give this hotel a -0. The highlight is the location, nothing can beat it. Just spectacular. Other then this a truly horrific family experience. Nothing more then a 2 start at best if your room is located in their older building.

The hotel was in a good position along the promenade and the free bicycles were great although quite old, the rooms were reasonably clean a bit hit and miss at times, had to ask for fresh towels. The bed was large and comfortable the linnen clean but the quilt was too small for the bed and the pillow cases didn't fit.

Had to change rooms for a view away from Jaffa as the outlook on the other side is of a block of flats where the occupants can look directly into your room.

Noise in the corriidore was a bit of a problem, and the pool area is old although there is a beautiful beach opposite.

The breakfast was good and plentiful and the staff on the desk were polite.

All in all good value.

Room Tip: We had 1203 and my father 903 both were good views 903 was equipped better.

Just spent 4 nights at this hotel in two different rooms so I'll give you the pros and cons. One room was a standard room with two twins (10th floor) and one was a suite (11th floor) with a king bed.

Pros: 1) free calls to USA. I was jet lagged and it was great to call home when I couldn't sleep
2) Great location on the beach
3) Great staff. They were really helpful.
4) The hotel is clean
5) Great location to explore Tel Aviv
6) Staff provided good recommendations for tours

Cons: 1) The suite had several issues (phone near the bed didn't work, shower only had half of a door so the bathroom got wet, and the room was a bit dingy. Surprisingly, none of these were issues in the standard room on the 10th floor. That room was awesome!

Bottom Line: I'd stay here again, great location, great staff and the price was far less than other hotels in this area.

If you want a hotel that is centrally located, (right across the street from the beach), and, at an affordable price this is the one.The rooms are a bit smaller then north american rooms, but has everything you would need, free wifi and free long distance calls. The staff at the front desk have to be one of the best, if not the best i have ever dealt with, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. when i would ask them to recommend a particular type of restaurant,or tour, they did not disappoint. The Park Plaza Orchid Hotel will be the only Tel Aviv hotel for me
