Even with all the time I spend in Israel it's difficult to get used to sub par service and general dinginess even at great restaurants.
Luckily Hatraklin Blew away my expectations. In every way, they excelled. Service was top notch. Our waiter could have worked in the best restaurants in Manhattan. Attentive without being annoying and so easily switched between Hebrew and English that you almost wondered if he was a native Israeli.
The food was plated beautifully. Veggies were super fresh and the meats were of the very best quality.
Don't miss the Steak Tartare or the Carpaccio. Both exceptional dishes.
Both salads were also great. The Caesar better in my opinion with home made croutons and loaded with Parmesan Cheese.
Be prepared to pay for their focaccia as bread is not included. No sodas are available for purchase. Only still and fizzy water and lemonade (plus a full bar).
We left full and pleased. This is a great restaurant by all standards and I can not recommend it highly enough.
