Been here for a month now. Almost time to go home.
Pros: 10-15 walk to the Old City.
Cons: It's the small details that hold me back from giving it five stars;
The silverware, glasses and plates at breakfast always looked clean but upon closer inspection always had some leftover food on them. One morning the coffee cup still had lipstick on it. Yuck.
The 7th floor is currently being remodeled; this means much jackhammering and other construction noise Sunday-Thursday between the hours of 9 and 5. Much of that noise reverberates thru the walls and is clearly heard on the other floors. The quietest rooms will be on the 5th floor between 529 and 571.
The Inbal is a Kosher hotel so food service is very limited on Shabbat (Friday night-Saturday night), Cafe Paradiso is the only non-kosher restaurant within a 10 minute walk of the hotel, as such they will be very busy. Other non-kosher restaurants that will be open on Shabbat and are reasonable distances away are the Restobar and Babil (near The Barrel pub).
Lots of tour groups and kids at the hotel and I wish the staff and security were more willing to ask/tell kids who are running and screaming in the hallways and lobby to stop.
You can do laundry cheap by walking two block up the hill on Jabotinsky to Star Laundry. They aren't gentle on your clothes though so if you have anything delicate of that you don't want to shrink and wrinkle in their normally ultra-hot dryers you should ask them to dry on low heat.
A little farther up Jabotinsky at the intersection and corner of David Marcus (traffic circle) there is a decent barber/salon for haircuts.
