“excellent choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

My family is completing a 12 night stay tonight and we have nothing but compliments about this hotel and its staff. The staff-especially the front desk and dining room- goes out of its way to assist you in every way possible and was unusally warm and friendly. The location is superb and the food is excellent as well. I am not giving it 5 stars because the rooms are a little small but on par with other jerusalem hotels. Also, we found the front door staff to be somewhat unattentive to the fact that they should be opening the door when someone is pushing a stroller. Otherwise, a wise choice and worth returning to in the future.

We had no choice of hotel as were in a group, but would very happily return. Excellent comfortable room, but limited view! Wi-fi unfortunately only free in the lobby/dining room but at least it was there, paid for service available in room. Breakfast had excellent selection of cold and cooked food, with helpful staff. We were there for Shabbat and only obvious difference for us was smaller breakfast room and less food, with just "help yourself" coffee, no problems. Very helpful reception staff. The hotel is very quiet, but only 10 minutes walk to the Jaffa gate of the Old city, just around the corner from the YMCA and King David. There are good restaurants on the opposite side of the street, just down the hill about 100-200 yards.

A pleasant comfortable hotel in a very convenient location

Our room was a reasonable size and well furnished, though needing re-decoration before too long. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was good, as was the one buffet dinner we ate in the hotel restaurant. There was a good pianist in the lounge most evenings.

WiFi in bedrooms was quite expensive, but free WiFi was available in the lounge (which was not the case at the Dan Panorama, Tel Aviv, in which we stayed later).

This is located in an excellent location near the action. It is minutes from Ben yehuda and minutes from Emek Rafayim, and 20 minutes to the old city. WOW!!! The manager and staff are extremely accomodating. We had health issues and the manager, Mr Habash allowed us to stay in a suite in order to relieve our situation. The dining room staff was always there to assist us in every way and housekeeping was quick and efficient. Mr Habash runs a great ship and the front desk always greets its customers with smiles, kind greetings, and helpfulness always. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

We stayed a couple of different times in the hotel and in both times we were given rooms that were low down and could have been better. The view was to the back of the hotel which was no view at all. The second time was better and overlooked the side street and an apartment building.
However, the service of the staff on reception was very good and the dining room buffet was excellent. The hotel is apparently very popular with tour groups as the place seemed to be overrun with Americans on tour. This was especially noticeable at breakfast when they all wanted to get away on their tour buses at the same time. The tour buses were lined up outside the hotel causing a traffic jam.
The location of the hotel is very good and is in reasonable walking disttance to the old city, the synagogue, and other attractions/sites in the general area.
A good value hotel in a good location.
