This hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the Old City and near to some very good local restaurants. It's nothing fancy and could do with modernising, but it's clean and the staff are friendly and it represents excellent value for money, at least by Jerusalem standards!

Rooms are smallish so you'll need inter-connecting rooms if you're a family, but they come with all the usual: air con, TV, shower etc. Bathrooms are clean but tired. Breakfast in the hotel is OK, but not as good as you might expect at an Israeli hotel usually.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and can help you plan your time in the city to best advantage. The hotel's on a busy road, but you don't hear the traffic in your room.

Dan Panorama is in a great location, within 15 minute walking distance to the Old City and many restaurants and bars. The morning breakfast buffet was quite pleasing. Front desk staff was curt and downright rude at times, not just to us but to other guests. Our room was old and outdated with a view of construction. This is a mediocre hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, close to downtown Jerusalem as well as to the old city. Very nice, comfortable rooms. We had renovated adjoining rooms - much nicer than the rooms that were not renovated. Service was great. Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool which we did not use because we were so busy traveling around. Great breakfasts, huge selection of foods. We had other meals at the hotel as well where the food was good. Parking garage under the hotel where we kept our rental car. Overall, we had an enjoyable comfortable stay.

As an operator of tours to Israel twice a year, my home away from home in Jerusalem is the Dan Panorama. Some other Jerusalem hotels may be newer or grander, but at the Dan Panorama it's the service that can't be beat. From the general manager to the janitor everyone is committed to providing the highest level of service possible. The hotel's central location and reasonable prices is also a great plus. Sam Peak

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the old & new areas in Jerusalem. Although a little dated in places we found the hotel perfectly acceptable considering the price paid. Food was great, roof-top pool was surprisingly pleasant (apart from when it was too busy but there is a second sun level), staff were all friendly and willing to help. The room was small but no significant complaints otherwise. For the money I would definitely recommend this.
