One of the top hostels! Great staff, nice location and facilities. Try to join some tours organized by the hostel. Worth it!!

Great experience at the Abrahim and I highly recommend it to travellers. The staff were attentive and helpful and always responded to your questions with a smile. The facilities were great and the hostel offers a variety of activities to keep you busy including a bar, pub crawls, movie nights and of course the rooptop chill spot! Highly recommend this hostel!

Room was basic but clean, with air con and wifi. Breakfast was OK, but starts too late to eat before any of the tours, even though the tours are run by the hostel. Tours were good, very friendly guides. Position was great, next to market and tram line.

The best things about this hostel is the price & location. I was also happy about the AC & WiFi. Our room was basic, but it served its purpose. The breakfast is average & our room wasn't as clean as I would have hoped, but I would still stay here again. And make sure you bring your own hairdryer.

On the whole I was pretty impressed with this place, they organised good tours, had a great bar atmosphere, the majority of the staff were friendly and happy to spend time with customers. There was a real mix of people staying at the hostel from young backpackers, older couples, even a few families. The only tiny let down.... and really i feel this should not sway your trip here at all....is that 1 or 2 of the male members of staff that were hired from abroad to help out on trips were a little on the letchy side with some of the women, they still maintained a fairly professional manner throughout but it was noticeable where there attention was focused. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation!

Location wise it's quite perfect, just off the main Jaffa Street, plenty of eateries around, lots of bars, shopping and a Sherut stop. There is a light rail that runs from Jerusalems main bus station to literally just around the corner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
