“Jerusalem under the ground”

Here you can see the Old City as it looks like under the ground.
There are beautiful cisterns and on the old stones of the Cardo you can see the remains of the game like the one Roman soldiers played gambling the clothes of Jesus.
The staff is very helpfull and kind.
The place has no access for wheelchairs or people with walking problems.
A must for pilgrims who visits the Via Dolorosa.

A place of real calm and spirituality. A sense of what has passed.

This is the place where Jesus was shown to the crowds by Pilat to chose between him and Barabas. The original arch is still preserved in the altar.

We were unable to get accomodations here, but did attend
Sunday Mass. Also visited the museum of the Holy Shroud.
Staff were very helpful,

Wondefull place with an exellent resurant called La Rotesirie and also there is a resturant on the roof with the best view of jerusalem
