“A Great escape from a bus tour and buffet food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2012 via mobile

Eight of us were sick of the kosher buffets offered on our bus tour and had a great treat at this busy friendly non- kosher restaurant. The wine from the Golean Hights was excellent as were all of our meals that ranged from beef, lamb, sweetbreads, and two different risottos. It was not only highly rated by Tripadvisor but also by our Isreali guide who had worked there at one time.

“We loved Adom”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2012

The food was terrific and unique, the service great, the wine delicious. It's on the high end of price, but if you don't really care about that, we highly recommend Adom. We actually went twice during our stay in Jerusalem.

“Best in Jerusalem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Creative cooking. Great service and fair price for a truly special meal. We are going back in a few days.
Tried the fish special of the day (Drumfish?) and it was perfectly prepared. Also tried the Sweetbreads which was done in a very nouvelle way -- quite good (but probably not for everyone). The roasted eggplant was divine and we will repeat it again. Our waitress offered us a taster of a wine as we didn't know Israeli wines. Great idea and appreciated, as it helped us make a good choice which was really her recommendation. A Flam Cab/Syrah. About 40 USD but excellent. The food prices were what you would expect for high end eating but not over the top at all. Portions were correct. A bit hard to find as it is down an alleyway on Jaffa street that looks like a souk but at the end of it is the restaurant. Reservations for most nights is suggested. This place is popular and lives up to it's reputation.

“Sit at the bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Take all the previous excellent comments about this restaurant and I echo them here. We sat at the bar. The service was as much fun as it was excellent and the food was equally up to that measure. The restaurant is a bit tricky to find as it is off a walking alley off the street address, so driving by it is easily missed. But worth slowing down and discovering.

...and you will enjoy your conversation with the bartenders as much as you will enjoy your food.

drumfish cerviche, followed by chicken livers in honey sauce served on a bed of mashed potatoes. boutique winery week had many rare-ish choices. very good chocolate mousse to end the meal.
