Breakfast are so tasty. Rooms are clean, everyone are gentle and helpful.
The location is a very good start to visit the city. The rooftop is so romantic with view to the Bosphorus. Go there I highly recommend this guesthouse.
We stayed with our 10 and 12 year olds in one of the family rooms; it was very cozy in all the right ways. The location can't be beat, cleaning daily was well done, and the terrace cannot be underrated. Breakfast was good and we utilized the space very evening to play cards and drink tea. There was always someone at the front desk (the same person!). We will definitely come back here.
Marmara Guesthouse is a hidden jewel . Quiet, bespoke, clean , well priced run by very helpful staff . It was a delight to start my day with an extensive Turkish breakfast overlooking harbour. The location is perfect to walk or get the tram wise to all attractions .
Stayed for three nights. Taxi couldn’t get right to the front of the property as street is very narrow dead end. Check in was quick and we were given a room on the second floor. There is no lift and the stairs are quite steep and narrow and go round some corners so it would be easy to slip.
The room was a reasonable size but bed was quite hard. We were unable to find the remote control for the air con unit and had to get one from reception the next day.
Breakfast was served on the roof terrace between 8 and 10, there was plenty to choose from although almost no hot food. There was a coffee machine in the breakfast room that was accessible any time of day or night.
The premises is a few hundred metres from the main attractions in Sultanahmet and about 25 minutes walk to the ferry area to catch a boat for a trip along the Bosphorus.
I stayed here for two nights and highly recommend it! The breakfast was DELICIOUS and there were so many choices. Our room was quite comfortable and roomy for two people. Be prepared to climb stairs to get to breakfast (on the terrace) and to get to some rooms. The location was fantastic and it was walking distance to the famous sites and to restaurants. I went with friends but would have felt comfortable staying here as a solo female. The guesthouse arranged a taxi for us to the airport and held our luggage after we checked out.
