We were here for 4 days it was so dirty and smelly. Bathroom was awful. Tv shows just one turkish channel. Heater was working just from 9 pm to 5 am and it's turned off by manager! Very bad experience

I came across this hotel after many hours of searching for a serviced apartment including breakfast (to meet the multiple needs of a large family). I was dubious about booking because it is not an obvious choice for a first trip to Istanbul (quite a remote location), but I decided to in the end because serviced apartments are not widely available and the majority of reviews were very positive.
We were given 2 rooms on different floors although we had requested they be on the same floor. This was not too much of a problem but there were a handful of problems in the room which was disappointing. The fridge did not work at first (this was quickly resolved) and water was dripping from the A.C. for the duration of the stay. In addition, there was insufficient towels and bedding and the overall cleanliness (including the shower) could use improvement. Breakfast was set plates of cheese and fruit with bread (no selection) and ironing/maid services were not made clear. The extra folding beds were not very comfortable to sleep in.
Having said this, the staff seemed genuine and were friendly and attentive- very quick to book taxis/answer questions. The view of boats passing on the Bosphorus river from the top floor is great and pleasant to wake up to in the morning. The location was good, 5 mins from tram station, which takes you everywhere in Istanbul. Also 5 mins from Taksim square which was a nice place to visit at night-very lively (but can also be accessed by taxi from other areas). However, not knowing the route back turned into a difficult task of asking people- who had never heard of the hotel- for directions- a 5 minute journey turned into almost an hour.
Although the tram station is easily accessible, Sultanahmet is 6 stops away and for tourists who want to visit different historical sites everyday, a hotel in/near Sultanahmet would be more ideal and convenient.
Cihangir Ceylan is a work in progress considering it is run by 3 people. I wish them the best and thank them for their efforts but unfortunately will not be booking again.

I have spent 6 nights in the hotel. The location is great. The nearest station is Findikli Station. It is only 3 min. Walking to it. Also 5 min. Walking to Taksim Square. The view of the see is so beautiful. The value of money paid for the accommodation is satisfactory. The rooms are clean and good with the kitchen. Special thanks to Khaldon, Marawan, and Abd Allah who are the responsible for the hotel.

We stayed there for 4 nights. the view was awesome. we arrived at 3 and the check in was very easy. but we waited for the other room to finish -5/10 minutes- . Breakfast was fine, diverse. The reception were so nice to us. they helped us with a lot of things. Cleanness wasn't bad, the pillows were not so clean. but the only problem was with check out, they asked us to leave at 12. because there is a family waiting from 10 o'clock. but its not my business! i mean Don't let people check in and people check out on the same day! especially when you say the check out till 3:30pm! (from booking). but maybe i would like to stay and this hotel again. but making sure that won't happen again.

We stayed in one of the apartments at the Cihangir Ceylan Suite with our baby. The staff were very helpful and spoke English. We stayed here as it was near our friend however it was so convenient for the tram and for Taksim square, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for tourists. The breakfast was simple but has everything you'd want. The wifi is complimentary too.
