I usually stay in the Galata area when I'm in Istanbul. But since it's summer, I opted to stay near the Bosphorus, and Radisson Blu is the best choice for value for money. Service is excellent: from the moment I checked-in, they were so accommodating to my requests, as well as the staff of their seaside restaurant, which were also so accommodating to my various quirky requests. The room was ok, I got a partial seaview where I can still see the old city specially at night. This is ideal for people who don't want to stay near the busy tourist areas like Sultanahmet or Galata area. There is still activity as it's near the Ortakoy mosque. A lot of nearby eating places as well, and it's halfway through Besiktas & Bebek. Since I took a private Boshporus yacht, it was able to dock at the restaurant, so that's added convenience for me. Only negative is the traffic is heavy outside the hotel so sometimes I would alight a bit farther & walk back to the hotel. Also, there is a certain clientele who frequents this hotel, so it depends if that is an issue for you

Stayed here in February this year. Amazing views of the Bosphorus, great location near the markets and only a short drive from Taksim Square. Breakfast was out of the world and the staff are really friendly.

The hotel location is very good with lots of local friendly services, people in the hotel are friendly and supportive, I have had great help from the hotel concierge Ms. Beyze in dealing with language difficulty and also good advise on where to go and what to do. We spend there five days only but they were marvelous five days. Especial thanks to Ms. Beyze,

First of all, this hotel is not in the old city (Sultanahmed District). With that in mind it would not be a good choice if you wanted to see all of the Ottoman and Roman/Greek churches, mosques, palaces and museums. But it makes a great selection if you just want to enjoy Bosphorus and Ortakoy area. The hotel offers fantastic day and night views. Being right on the water, you can not get any closer to Bosphorus and have your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Speaking of breakfast, it is simply amazing and overwhelming with choices. If you are a breakfast person, this buffet style spread is where you want to be. They even have bacon even though many of the guests are not christians. The hotel is clean and staff is very helpful.

Room tip: If you want to splurge, get the terrace suit. It is simply amazing. The bridge side of the hotel tend to be more noisy.
