We had to wait for long to order and receive our food and drinks. The food was not good, we have ordered sunny side up, first it was not well cooked, returned and this time it came back almost burnt. We ordered Turkish tea, which...was not fresh at all. Toilets were dirty. There is nothing to give a positive commentMore

We were excited to try this cafe but we were surprised by the way we were treated. We chose a table and we were about to sit, the woman told us to change our table, we changed it because we thought that they needed that...table for something. once we changed the table, the waitress looked at us in a rude way and told her colleague (in turkish) that she will not serve us. luckily one of my friends understand turkish and we were able to understand her. We couldn't handle them and we left the cafe. However, none of them came to apologize or fix the situation. Honestly racist people shouldn't be hired. We are all educated now and racism should be forgotten, we are all the same.More

Service was awful.  They were not that busy.  Most people were sitting outside despite it being coldish.  I sat inside!  Nice interior.  Small.  Clean.  Wifi did not work.  Big menu including all day breakfast, Western and Turkish choices including pasta, noodles, desserts, drinks and more. ...To get a bottle of water took fifteen minutes!  It would have been easier for me to go and get it myself!  I went to the branch in Ortakoy on previous trips and service there is just as bad but I am not sure why (the location, restaurant itself and the views are nicer).  First time to this branch.  The positives were the good music and the food does deliver.  The noodles with chicken were really nice, freshly made, full of flavour and well presented.  Generous portion size.  Probably the only reason I come back each time! More

Down a side street in Nisantasi, the House cafe is a nice break from the smokey cafes in the area. There is an extensive menu and a beautiful interior garden terrace to enjoy. Very enjoyable late lunch.

My husband and I had lunch at the busiest time of day on a Saturday. We sat inside where we could watch all the traffic and passersby from our table. The outdoor patio had been busy every time we had walked by so we just...had to give this place a try. There is a Turkish dish called "menemen" that we had never had before so my husband decided to give it a try. It's a scrambled egg dish with a soft consistency with spices, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and cheese. He absolutely loved it! I had the smoked salmon salad which had a generous portion of excellent quality salmon, capers, fresh dill, lovely fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers in a pesto-like vinaigrette with a side serving of creamy sour cream. We also had a cafe americano and a green tea. The tea came with a lovely accompaniment of fresh, thin slices of green apple and small wedges of oranges and lemons. There was such a variety of items on the menu it was difficult to choose. Many items were suitable for vegetarians and vegans as well. For those who enjoy sampling something sweet the pastry selection is very tempting. If you're in the area I'd highly recommend The House Cafe.More
