This hotel looks just like in the pictures! Price is excellent, location perfect and close to everything in the center! It’s 5 minutes away from Hagia Sofia and 2 minutes away from Topkapi Palace. Breakfast was very good and all employees are friendly.

We had one night from July 4 to July 5, 2018 to see as much as we could of Istanbul. This hotel was perfect for this purpose. Initially we went for a fancy hotel closer to the airport, but this was so much better. The official yellow cab got us to the place and back for less than 60 TL (about 15 american dollars). Once there you can walk to the blue mosque very easily, there is also a nice little bazaar (not the big one) and dozens of restaurants with traditional food. They all seem to have the same menu: fish, kebaps (kabobs), lots of different kinds of appetizers (Mezze). We picked the busiest in the neighbourhood and were not disappointed. The room had ac (only when we were present), great water pressure, new bedding, traditional appointments but tastefully decorated. Breakfast was even included for an unbeatable price of 80 euros.

Room Tip: If you don't like steep stairs, ask for a room on the ground floor.

We stayed here for 12 nights and were generally delighted with the hotel and the reception staff. The location could not be better - only a few minutes walk to the major attractions but away from the noise. We stayed in an economy double room which as expected, was small, but very nicely decorated. Our only complaint is the housekeeping -the room was not dusted very well, and the bathroom could do with a good freshening up. The coffee in the room was not topped up for over a week, even though we left a note for the housekeeper. We did complain and were given coffee, but think that the housekeeping staff need to improve. Also, the airport shuttle we requested was 35 euro, which is very expensive for a local rate - and shared!. Book the airport transfer through Marco Polo in Sultanahmet, who will collect you and bring you to/from the airport for 5 euro per person. All in all, we recommend the Premist for its excellent location, pleasing decor and great reception staff.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues, pick lower floor as there is no lift to get to floors (4)

We booked two rooms. Our rooms had nice interiors. The hotel was within walking distance to Hagia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cisterna, Museums and lots of restaurants and cafes around the area. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was buffet and same choices every day but tasty and satisfying.
The walls were thin. Soundproofing is needed. I can hear the Tv, cellphone rings and footsteps from the next room and the room above. I am a sound sleeper but for people with difficulty sleeping, this might be a problem.
