What a lovely hotel. friends of ours booked this hotel for a long weekend so we wern't sure what t expect but we were not disappointed. The Staff were so friendly. The area is great as a base to explore the old town, you are literally five minutes walk from the Blue Mosque.
We visited in February and the temperature outside was very cold but the rooms were always nice and warm as is the welcome as you walk into reception.
We had a lovely time in Istanbul and would not hesitate to revisit the Berce Hotel.
If i had to criticise anything i would have liked a kettle in the room so i could make apple tea but that's just being picky!

berce hotel is located in the quieter area of sultanahmet, close to the blue mosque, hippodrome and aya sophia. the hotel is small, but rooms were of adequate size. Our room had 3 small balconies from which we could see the marmara sea :) Mehmet was very helpful in giving directions. The breakfast on the room terrace was nice as well.

We have just returned from a short break in Istanbul and chose this hotel based on various Trip Advisor reports and I am glad we did as the hotel is perfect in many respects. We arrived in the early hours (due to snow in Istanbul!) and the taxi driver struggeld to find the hotel which is located in a side street that, at first, appears to be in the middle of nowhere. However, when you get your bearings you will realise it's only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and therefore a great base to explore Istanbul. The bedrooms are immaculate and well appointed and the breakfast, served daily on the rooftop terrace, is more than adequate. In addition to the facilities and location, where this hotel really scores is the personal service provided by Mehmet and his team. Nothing was to much trouble for anyone and when we returned to the hotel after day out on Friday, we found a bottle of wine and fruit basket had been delivered to our room as Mehment had realised from our registration card that it was my birthday! - That's what I call service and sadly it's seen all too infrequently these days. All in all a lovely little hotel and we would certainly return

Spent 6 nights here and would stay again. Room was a good size, well maintained and clean. Wifi worked well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and good.

When you first arrive, you may think you're in a bit of a strange area, however once you get your bearings, you'll find that it's a great location to experience Istanbul.

All in all, good value.

We have been in Istanbul in January 2012. This was our first trip in Istanbul, and it's lucky that we chose the Berce Hotel. This small hotel is situated on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. The room was very cosy and well-decorated. Our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a fantastic view.
We were very well hosted. Special hearty thanks to Mehmet Kaya; he is one of the most pleasant man we've ever met.
My wife and I, we can't imagine a nicer place to stay! Other traveller wrote here:"A home away from home", - we are absolutely agree with it.
