“Very good hotel, great location, helpful staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2011

Very good value hotel. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet excellent. The staff were very helpful. I lost my ATM card and a gentleman at reception dialled the number to contact my bank for me. The roof pool is a great addition to have. It was in a very good location near to Sultanahmet and the bazaars.

I agree with all the reviews. The hotel is well placed for all the sights and close to the tram stop, although we walked most of the time. The rooms were small and adequate for a few nights but I wouldn't want to stay more than a few days in one. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good with an amazing selection of hot and cold food. The very best thing about this hotel is the rooftop pool which although small, was a welcome respite. This city is crazy and I have never seen traffic like it. It is also one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. To be able to sunbathe and have a cool dip in the pool was wonderful.

Oh yes, it was also good value for money.

Room Tip: Try to book a room away from the stairs as the landing takes a corner away from the room. Therefore...

This was a lovely hotel, a small rooftop pool, that didn't seem to be used by many of the guests. Rooms were clean and staff helpful, advised on how to travel around the city and booked us a taxi to the airport. The hotel is only four stops on the tram (2 Turkish Lira a trip) to Sultanahmet - the main tourist area, women do get more hassle in the area near the hotel, but this was limited to looks and comments.
There is a mosque facing the hotel, so the call to prayer can be heard loudly (at 0530 during my stay).

Great location! 15 minute walk to most historical sites. 5 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are very small but if you are here on vacation you only need the room to shower and sleep. Staff is very helpful. The breakfast bar is great. The pool and hammam are very clean and are a wonderful break after a day of sight seeing. Only downside is the hotel is next to 2 mosques which can wake you up every day for prayer calling at 5 a.m.!! My husband is a light sleeper and he woke up every day when they called for prayer.

The rooms were clean and room service was done decently, but we found rooms quite small, particularly the one with three beds. Breakfast was quite satisfactory. Reception staff is very helpful with good good command of English. Enjoyed lazy Sunday near the roof pool. The location is quite close to Sultanahmet and major sights, very close to tram station, also there are lots of restaurants in 10 minutes walk distance. However we did not find the evening walks back to the hotel pleasant - lots of street traders selling fake brands, watches etc occupy all pedestrian area from the main road all the way to the hotel.
