We were staying at Hotel Uzbekistan so to get to the main road, we had to cross the square. It has a huge statue of Timur on a horse. Impressive. The garden is large, well laid out and well maintained.
Its easily accessible from any metro station nearby. There is also a Timur museum which we were told was not worth visiting so we gave it a miss as we had enough to see in the city.
