Great business hotel

Stayed here for three nights in September 2024

Pros:
1) The rooms, bathrooms and the lobby were clean and spacious.
2) The place is very quiet at night and the sleep quality was great.
3) The WIFI was free with great connectivity and speed.
4) The hotel front desk is manned 24 hours and spoke excellent English.
5) The hotel staff & front desk were very courteous and helpful in arranging all our travel needs.
6) The hotel has a quick 2-hour laundry facility.
7) The breakfast is served early (6:30 am) and the spread is good with many vegetarian choices.
8) The location is good. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main square.
9) There are many restaurants within a short walking distance.

Cons:
1) The hotel is pricey. But so are most hotels in Tashkent.

The carpets are filthy in both the rooms we stayed in. Coffee machine in the room was good but toileties low quality and the tissues were paper hand towels. Breakfast choice had alot of sweet stuff and little choice of bread or cooked products. The staff are surly compared to other hotels we stayed at in Uzbekistan, and needed to be asked several times for each order (which they offer got wrong).

The hotel did the trick for us. Attentive staff, good food… and they all spoke passable English – far better than any Usbek I might have attempted. A good central location. Admittedly the coffee machine wasn't really up to the demand, but that seems to be a feature in this part of the world.

Truly dreadful start. I arrived at 2am having been travelling all day, to be told that my room was flooded (??) and it would be at least an hour til one was ready. They told me I could have a snack at the restaurant while I waited but would have to pay for alcohol.

An hour later it transpired that it wasn’t that they were getting a room ready, they were hoping someone would check out early to free one up!!

They sent me to another hotel for the night, but when I got there, the substitute hotel asked me to pay for the room, which eventually I had to do, having assumed the Wyndham would have this done.

When I got back to the Wyndham the next day, their pathetic “discount” offer for the inconvenience for the remainder of the stay was to offer me a free breakfast. I didn’t have the energy or time to argue it, but it was really disappointing, and a sign of a hotel that does not know how to do the right thing when they are wrong,

When I finally got to stay, I had a spacious, comfortable room, with good aircon, WiFi and all the expected facilities. The breakfast buffet was good and varied, if a little sweet for my taste. Location was good with easy access to metro.

The pool area was nice, though the water was a little cold.

good location..close to everything..wlaking distance to good restaurants and attractions..large clean comfortable rooms..good coffee shop online...verty friendly staff..reception helped us with restaurant reservations..good choice in tashkent

Stayed here on the first and last night of our holiday. Nice clean rooms. Had a bath in our room. To shower one had to stand in the bath.
We had a good breakfast. Had a good evening meal on our last night. The drinks menu had a choice of 3 gins but on choosing a gin and tonic they returned to say they had no gin. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Our room had good easy to operate air conditioning. Had a stroll after a early dinner around the area but there was no where much outside, just busy roads
