Property is old however the same is reasonably maintained. Rooms were clean. . Breakfast spread was awesome. . Electrical fittings need a revamp. . The sockets were not compatible with mobile chargers and even their electric kettle. . Hotel provided us with a 3 pin socket which burned out when we used the kettle to boil water. . That was a scary experience. .

During my recent family vacation to Sri Lanka, our last stoppage was at Colombo city where we stayed in Hotel Sapphire from 19th to 20th August. From the moment we checked in to Hotel Sapphire up until the time we checked out there wasn't a moment where we felt anything amiss within the hotel premises. The room we had booked was a huge triple room on the third floor with free wi-fi connection. Being vegetarians we were at first apprehensive as to what we would be offered in the package dinner. Moreover, we didn't want to have any Indian cuisine for obvious reasons. To our surprise the host provided us with a tasteful Chinese vegetarian five course meal. Next day (the last day of our tour) began on a high note with the kids hitting the pool on the first floor. This was followed with a grand breakfast that had a great combination of Sri Lankan and Continental stuff, which we relished with gusto. Everything at Hotel Sapphire, including the staff, their cuisine, and their services is top grade. Although we spend a short time there but that was very comfortable indeed.
