View is awesome and you can enjoy a short variety of food and it was too much crowdy.
Its the place to visit only for few hours and you will get the fresh nature around.

I took my kids there earlier tonight after probably a couple of years and man it was heartbreaking and depressing.
We have been going there since our childhood and it was a raw place till Kamran Lashari developed the Margalla Hills and converted a forest top into a world class park and city observatory.
It had been great for a few years after he left the CDA and now the place looks haunted and broken.
First they closed down the parking lot which is near the main Daman-e-Koh point and now you have to park near the access road where they have kids rides. You have to walk around 500m from there to reach up there.
It's ok as long as you are going in the day but as we went there after sunset and it was pitch dark with only a single light from the lower parking lot till the top one.
I had young kids so it was a very hard and uncomfortable walk for us.
The point itself is very I'll maintained and was extremely dirty and very near to be filthy. It looked like no cleaning has been for a few days and there were remains of spilled drinks and food everywhere with a strange stink everywhere.
It was weekend but no wonder the place was almost deserted.
Even up there only a few lights were switched on and we couldn't stay there for long.
A few sections of the park were also closed down with makeshift scaffoldings.
It was really disappointing and painful to see a great place to almost getting ruined.
CDA doesn't care about the public places anymore. Same has happens to the Fatima Jinnah Park, Lakeview Park, the Zoo and even Faisal Masjid.
Nobody is asking you to create new places but atleast save what you inherited from those good guys.
If it was not the natural beauty I would have rated it even lower.
Shame on you CDA!!!

Meaning Lap of the hill, it was the first tourist spot and restaurant developed by the Capital authority in Margalla hills of Islamabad. Just a few minutes drive from the zoo ,and midway to the pir sohawa top,the site is at an altitude of 3000 ft, from where one can enjoy the panaromic scenes of the Capital. Car parking, cafes and tuck shops are available at the site.

Daman-e-Koh provides spacious platforms for getting a good view of the Capital, has decent and affordable restaurants as well as picnic spots for barbecue or serving food. Beware of monkeys who attack at the sight of food.

We planned a day out to islamabad on 26th April 2017, on arrival to islamabad we noticed sign boards directing us to Daman e koh i had heard of this place before by friends and family for being a view point overlooking the whole of islamabad.

We drove up the mountain for a few miles to gwt to daman e koh i must say i was impressed with the fact that there were signs directing us after every couple of hundred yards. As we reached the viewing point i must say we could really feel the heat.

The viewing point is very near the tip of the mountain therefore i believe its maybe better to visit here on an evening as it would be alot cooler and views will be alot better too. The view during the day was breath taking so i cannot imagine how beautiful it would be on an evening.

There are a few shops open close to the car park which sell food and drink this location is perfect for family picnics and also a great place for everone to relax and enjoy. There is also a little section on the way from car park to view point where there are monkeys.

Daman e koh is a beautiful place and i would love to visit here again but this time on an evening due to it being really hot during the day and making it almost impossible to walk.

I have a few pictures which i will upload from when i visited hipe you enjoyed reading.
