Review of Sushi Tei

Sushi Tei
Ranked #241 of 1,690 Restaurants in Phnom Penh
Price range: US$ 6 - US$ 25
Description: Sushi Tei - Where pristine culinary skills and incisive expertise with an innate appreciation of nature come together to inspire and enhance the experience of true Japanese dining. Since our debut in 1994, we have combined the best that the expansive Japanese cuisine has to offer, marrying the intricacies of sashimi to the theatrical flair of teppanyaki with an innate intuition of local tastes to forge an inimitable identity of our own. Sushi Tei is no ordinaire dining restaurant, notably we believe in providing an ethereal with an alluring ambience more than a dining experience just for you by setting ourselves apart from the norm. We present an assortment of scrumptious and creatively designed Japanese gastronomy - appealing to the delight of aficionados of Japanese cuisine. Our menu features Japanese offerings and innovative dishes illustrating the emerging influence of Asia on modern Japanese cuisine. A revolving selection of appetizer, dinner, sushi specials guarantee a new experience with each visit to our restaurant outlets. More than often, seasonal themes sprung up to unleash the inquisitive mind of our customers with the likes of Hokkaido's promotion and more that has yet to come following the changes accordingly to Japan's season, Salmon harvesting season, Autumn's special the coldest season, Aburi Spring season special, etc. With also the modest and unassuming homegrown Japanese Kaiten (conveyor belt) chain, it is by no revelation that we conform to an open-kitchen concept that allows our patrons the prerogative to relish the mouth-watering savories amidst the gazing of the culinary skills of the restaurants' chefs. OUR VISION: To be the leading restaurant for quality, value and exceptional customer service in all of our outlets worldwide. MISSION STATEMENT: - We are committed to bring good food at good value to our customers. - We guarantee freshness of our food and ensure that only top grade ingredients are used.

For the past few years Sushi Tei has always been my go to place whenever I need a sushi place. I've never been disappointed by their food before and this branch has lived up to that expectation and succeeded it in some aspects!

I have been a regular guest at Sushi Tei in Singapore since 15 years and was very happy to find out the first Sushi Tei Restaurant opened in Phnom Penh about 10 months ago. As in Singapore you have to expect to cue for at least 30-60 minutes if you go there any day of the week around "dinner rush hour", we made a reservation only to find out that the restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday night at 7pm. This was much to my surprise but the feeling, the interior decoration and most important the food was excellent just as I know it from Singapore. The service was even better as there were less guests and hence more focus on us that night. If you are a Sushi lover at affordable prices, you will not regret eating here someday! For sure, I will go there again and again...!

One of our favorite restaurants for business lunch, though it's slightly overpriced. The uni sashimi is the top choice if you're a huge fan of sashimi.

We have just eaten at Sushi Tei this evening and I have to say it is 5 stars all the way! It may be the cleanest kitchen in Cambodia. The staff didn't miss a beat and was not overbearing in any way. Our sushi rolls were fantastic! We loved the decor which is modern and slick. Upstairs you can book your private rooms for parties, etc. Well done guys, well done!

First impression that this place was "luxurious", 5 star for style but 3star for taste. The miso which served in a tea pot style was salty, the sauce for soft crab was salty, and the maki tended to be ok even without soya sauce.
