Description: Uy Kuyteav Food and Architecture Story Rice is Cambodia’s staple food and Phnom Penh’s favourite dish. In fact, we Cambodians enjoy rice in many different ways; from the rice crackers for snacks to rice pudding for dessert. But the most idolized is still the Kuyteav, the rice noodle soup which is enjoyed by young and old throughout the country for breakfast. You find it everywhere, from Mom’s kitchen to food stalls and street vendors. Now at UY KUYTEAV, the renowned Cambodian Master Chef Luu Meng has perfected the taste of this popular dish. The noodles made from the World’s Best Cambodian Jasmine rice is served in a savoury soup carefully prepared from quality pork bones, beef bones slowly boiled to extract a most nourishing and flavourful broth. Currently they have a 30% promotion if paid with Visa Card. Till Nov 2018

They provided a complimentary Luu Meng coffee. Not bad at all.

Steak was nice and sufficiently tender for medium rare as I ordered.

Our friend who works in Phnom Penh, brought us here on our first evening. We went to the Bkk1 branch. The place was classy and looked extremely expensive. Service was attentive and the food was smooth and well done. The manager checked a couple of times to see if we enjoyed the food.

I was impressed and would come again.

Usually they are boiled properly.
But today Thursday, June 21st @10:30am they were boiled so hard that most of the excess wrapper was sitting in the bottom of the bowl.
And the Chinese croissant was way to oily and greasy and cold.
Where's the ground white pepper?

Phnom Penh Cambodian noodles
Wonderful little upscale lunch place on the way into Phnom Penh from the airport.
I tried the lamb curry with Cambodian noodles which was truly flavorful and the lamb was not overcooked. Nothing about the dish suggested the chef was an amateur. The curry sauce was more of the consistency of a rich broth which was very good. There was an ample amount of lamb also, served with a crisp, cold, Cambodian green tea, which the server made sure was never empty.
The staff was friendly and their English was very good.
At 5 USD for lunch, this will be a favorite of mine when I am next in town. Peace.
