nothing can prepare you for the emotional roller coaster you will experience on this visit. you have to go in with an open mind and willing to learn about the dark past. to think that this happened only 4 decades ago is mind-blowing. have to visit when in PP.

However much you have read about it or people have warned you , nothing prepared you for the horror of this place. An audio guide is a must. Please keep an interesting relaxing no brainer plan after this destination. We went for the river boat cruise. Its incredible how very young the torturers were and how terribly people were treated. Its also awful that the world knew nothing about these going ons and the people responsible for the genocide lived the next three decades in positions of respectability in very comfortable lifestyles.

But yet, it is a good place to understand more about Cambodia. You'd better rent a audio guide so that you can learn more.

Amazing sight to see. It's difficult to imagine that it was once a highschool and the devastation that occurred there.

You must get the audio guide to understand what you're looking at.

I must place to visit. Its a sad museum of items and rememberance what happened at this school turned prison. Rows of recorded pictures of inmates and torture items. One of the few survivors signs his book at the tent area. From hotel a taxi will cost 5 - 10 $.
