“The real deal”
Reviewed 1 May 2012

Four floors with several galleries (all categorized). Massive US planes/helicopters, etc on display outside. Don't forget to visit the tiger cages near the entrance.

Tells tales of the Vietnam War and how cruel Americans were. Foreigners should not miss this place. It informs and educates people of the history of Vietnam.

It's hard not to get even a bit emotional. Take time to read photo captions, don't just look at the pictures.

Location is great. Restaurants everywhere! When it closes at 11:30am for lunch break, they literally tell people to go away, really go away. After having lunch, we went back 1:30pm and the security guard recognized us so we weren't charged for another 15, 000 Dong.

Toilet should be maintained better. You can smell the stench when you're 15 meters from its door.

Saw a lot of foreigners who do not know how to read and speak English. They are accompanied by a tour guide. Please try to brush up on your English before visiting this place. It's different when you read and understand the descriptions by yourself.

Try to set half a day for this visit - like the whole morning or whole afternoon. You can't possibly give it an hour, that would be ridiculous. Immerse yourself. The knowledge and experience is worth more than 15,000 Dong.

Fee: 15,00 Dong/ person
Opening time: 8:30-11:30am; 1:30-5pm
Closed once a week

A real eye opener and shed a few tears. Photos by American journalists.

“A Must Visit Site in HCM”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

Mainly photographs, and you will recognize some of the famous photos from the war. I found those rooms, and the stories of the international news photographers, the most interesting. Good to be reminded that war journalists lay down their lives to bring these images and stories to the public. The Agent Orange exibit is difficult, and some people leave quickly. Some stay and weep. I spent time there to educate myself about the consequences (still ongoing in both Vietnam and the U.S.) of the use of chemical warfare.

“interesting but one side only”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

It's a bit a one side story but definitely worth a visit. Outside of the building you can see wrecks of helicopters. Inside you can watch the horror of war with a lot of pictures and other attributes from the war. It's overwhelming to see the toll of war.
