I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and it is without doubt one of the most centrally located places to stay in the City, right in the very middle of district 1.
There are a few things that always irk me however. For one, at check in, the reception staff will virtually always try to sell you an upgrade, which as an SPG gold member many other starwood hotels would offer free of charge. I have since found out that the reception staff are actually on commission to sell upgrades which explains this. There is also a rather curious local law which prohibits non residents from hotel rooms outwith certain hours and security staff are constantly patrolling the lobby looking for guests trying to break this rule..
On the plus side, the rooms in the Sheraton Towers wing are very spacious, the executive lounge has a good selection, and the rooftop bar commands some excellent views of the city.
The gym is excellent with everything you would need for a proper workout, but the pool is mostly surrounded by buildings so is only exposed to the sun in the morning, meaning the water is pretty cold for most of the day, although of course some people prefer this...More
