Enjoyed so much this show, pretty expensive but still good, funny, but could not really understand since they are speaking in Vietnamese language.

Wasn't sure what to make of this after reading the various reviews but were pleasantly surprised by the show and the overall atmosphere. Wandering to the venue from the hotel was fun but itself but the show was also really great, the puppets really well done and funny with the fact we did not speak Vietnamese being no problem. Our 6 year old loved it and talked about it for days after the show so it must have made a great impression. A welcome a relief for his very enthusiastic Pokemon discussions of late! A must do if you are in Ho Chi Min and looking for a way to spend an afternoon. Is air conditioned too!
Nice show...only about an hour long but... good entertainment. We wondered how some of the puppets were maneuvered by the puppeteers...I would have liked to see a behind the scenes tour!!!!
Each act is short so you won't tire easily. Many younger kids could sit and enjoy the show without getting cranky or sleepy. I was surprised to see that. :D
It would have been nice if they included a script in various languages so we could at least understand/enjoy the show a little bit more.
We got the tix from our hotel. I am sure we paid more through the hotel but I don't mind paying for the convenience/commission "fee" of sorts.
Don't expect too much but...it's also a nice show for all. Almost all the customers were tourists. Few locals.
Some people came in late...they should make an entrance at the back for late-comers. I was surprised that some people were recording the whole show on their recording devices. Hmmm...well, they did not seem to mind it at all. (the ushers, I mean)
While the show is in Vietnamese we still enjoyed it without being able to understand much. The puppets were beautiful and amazing to watch. The narration and music with also enjoyable.
We sat pretty far back in the theatre and there were a lot of people trying to take photos or film the show with their phones/iPads which tended to block our view a bit, but that is wasn't the fault of the show but rather rude audience members.
I would recommend this show.
I tried to purchase the tickets at the door one day before but I was told shows the whole weekend were sold out but I later managed to get tickets through my hotel tour desk so that was not cool.
But the show itself was good. My 3 year old sat happily throughout the show even if we did not understand a word of what they were saying.
The show was not free seating so no need to be there too early. Splash on the first 2 rows was also not as bad as I thought.
My friend recommended me to watch this show. i bought the ticket directly from the theater. but i saw that many sightseeing points has the sale of such tickets.
the show lasts for 1.5 hours with live music. it shows all the traditional lifestyles with the puppet. the show is full of surprise and it worths the money. it is recommended to sit in the 4 or 5 row of the centre, which has the greatest view.
