Across the road from our hotel this was a covenant place to eat. The staff were polite and helpful. The food choice was good and came very speedily to our table even though the restaurant was busy. Great tasty food and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was close to our hotel and had a good selection of meals. We tried the tempura vegetables which were good and not too oily. We also tried the duck with peanut sauce which was very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive.

We were taken to this restaurant as part of a group tour of Vietnam and so was given a set menu for our group.

However this was delicious and something for all tastes with a selection of starters and mains. Can't comment on the cost as included in our tour. Good service.

Saigon beer cost on the high side at 60K dong

Of all restaurants visited during our trip, which is a lot, this is the one who stands out when it comes to taste. It is usually hard to tell one restaurant from another when comparing how delicious things tastes, but Star Anise stands out as the restaurant taste wise :) ant this is important, not?
Staff is nice and friendly as normal; that is good.

This restaurant seems to be on the tourist bus route - catering for large groups as well - but nevertheless they serve good local food. A handy set menu with tasty courses but a little disappointing on the dessert ("Fresh fruite" (sic)). in any event - a reasonably priced lunch venue.
