Great food, nice place, very good service, friendly staffs and like the review below had mentioned - it's all for a good cause. Definitely one of the must-eat places in Hanoi! Don't give it a miss!!

The Bun Cha was great! A lot of leaves and herbs and my friend thinks it's the best food she had in the whole of vietnam. The Mango-Sweet Potato- Pork Ribs salad is amazingly done too. They have an extensive selection of really good looking desserts. We were tempted to try some but too full from the wonderful food. Don't miss it if you still have the room for desserts.

After being highlighted on Trip Advisor as well as in the travel books, I figured we'd give Koto a try... after all, it seems sort of grinch-like not to get behind their mission. So with that, I will apologize for the average rating and say that the food and ambience are fine, but not nearly as special as the social mission of the restaurant.

The restaurant is in a nice space, though it was filled primarily with tourists, and eating at the couches by the bar on the second level is slightly uncomfortable. We had some decent food, but not nearly as good as some of the other spots around Vietnam. The service was good, and the trainees try very hard to do their best, but they are still very much in training learning the ins and outs of the hospitality/service industry and English.

So, if you are looking to better your karma and the social situation of youngsters at your next meal in Hanoi, definitely eat here. If you looking for a fine dining experience with extraordinary food, pass on by and figure another way to fulfill your social justice needs.

Just round the corner from Temple of Literature, Koto is conveniently placed to have a meal after strolling the historic area nearby. Also a lovely spot to chill out and have a drink while the rain eased. Food was good tho not sensational. Staff were lovely and it is great to see people being trained up to meet the growing expectations and demands of the tourist brigade. Well done!

We found our experience to be above average... Not very good, not average just good. The food is ok, nothing special with inconsistent portions. More veggie options than most places. The dessert looked good, we didn't try any. Busy with big groups/tours.

We had heard about the great work this place does so we wanted to try it out for dinner. We left feeling very impressed with the delicious food and the excellent and friendly service. It's a great feeling to be supporting an organisation that does such great work with the street kids of Hanoi.

...and they have espresso coffee!
