There is nothing this hotel won't do to make your stay enjoyable. We booked after reading rave reviews thru both lonely Planet and Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. 3 months before arriving we had communication with Nancy Dang who went out of her way to assist us with tours , domestic airfares at a fraction of the cost we were quoted back in Aus. With major renovations she needed to rebook us a room in an adjoining hotel due to the power needing to be shut off . All with graciousness and efficiency . Her recommendation for Halong ( which we originally resisted ) was awesome. Cross between Q E 2 and the Orient Express . Staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to help. Organised a cyclo ride at local prices as well . As for Mandy , a pocket rocket , who has lived in Aust , she has the biggest smile you have ever seen. Can balance Aussie tastes for what is available locally. There are renovations ... Sure ... But what the heck are you doing in your room at 9.00 in the morning anyway. If you want peace and quiet perhaps delay staying here for a couple of months ... But be sure to book. Perfect location . The reviews I read beforehand were accurate. Try learning one phrase in Vietnamese and you will get double the smiles for your efforts!
