Moon Garden Homestay was one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited.
We stayed one night there and it was such a nice time. We arrived and were shown to our private house, called the Guava House. We then explored the grounds which were very beautiful and had gardens, both floral and vegetable, and a lake. We were then treated to a cooking class. Our wonderful guide, Toan, who is a local man from the surrounding village, taught us to make decorative roses and butterflies from tomatoes and cucumbers, spring rolls and beef-filled betel leaves. Afterward we ate lunch, which consisted of the things we had made in addition to some other fare. We had a hand bath with holy basil which felt amazing!
We then rested and then went for a bicycle ride through the local village and the rice fields. We met some locals in the town center and we took in the sunset over the fields.
When we returned, in our house an herbal steam bath was set up for us. After taking our steam baths, we dressed in traditional attire for a Buddhist prayer ceremony and then dinner.
The scenery and the tranquil peacefulness of this place was surreal. It was so relaxing and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Hanoi area.

Best place if you wanna escape the hectic city for a few days. The staff is lovely and the area offers a lot of places to chill. They serve great food! The rooms are clean and spaceous. We did a motorbike tour to a pagoda and a lake, which was nice too!

We stayed 2 nights with 2 adults and two teens. Everything from rooms over food to handmassage was excellent, the ambiance relaxing and laidback. If you have the chance, choose TUAN as your guide. His English is very good and he is such a nice and great person. The best guide we had during our whole Vietnam holidays. If you travel as a family, don't miss the mountain swimming pool nearby. It's not cheap but worth the trip!

Our family of 5 had a incredible stay at Moon Garden June 2018.
Toan our guide was outstanding as were all staff. The grounds are very beautiful as was the Mango house. Very unique experience. The bike trip, food, hospitality - all top notch.
Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

We left Hanoi and drive towards Moon Garden Homestay at Ky son village. The roads to destination are rough but at the end is worth. It is absolutely amazing place, the stuff takes good care for gardens, houses and are very friendly. They grown their own vegetables anf fruits which they use for cooking. There is a lot of things to do, we had cooking class, hand massage, foot massage, cycling tour around village and the most important thing we relax...
