Arrived at the hotel and were upgraded to a better room as ours wasn’t ready. However when we got there we realised the door wouldn’t shut properly and our sheets were dirty. Despite this we had a great panoramic view of the city through our window and the rest of our stay was pleasant. Staff were also really helpful and when our bus was an hour late they sorted it out.

The Rising Dragon is a well located hotel, within walking distance to the city hub.
This hotel and it’s services is however very basic, from breakfast to rooms. I would rate the hotel between 2-3 stars.
Very friendly staff and hotel manager, Mr Lee.

We are very happy about the hotel.
The hotel has two names, Serenity Hotel 2 and Rising Dragon Estate..
Everything is there, TV, free WiFi, hot water and good beds. The staff Lee and Joy were very helpful in arranging our trips to Sapa and Halong Bay, and they upgraded us to the suite room, after the second booking. Breakfast is set menu, which is reasonable. I would say Value for Money.

We stayed for 4 nights here and can honestly say it was an absolutely pleasure. Friendly staff, food, rooms, location. We loved staying in the Old quarter, definitely a more “real” part of Hanoi. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
