You have to leave the main land by boat to reach this resort as it's on an island. The first impression when you arrive is one of elegant grandeur. You can see the main land from all front facing rooms or look out onto Ha Long Bay. The entrance is magnificent with a friendly staff to greet you. As you walk further into the hotel you'll find a bar where you'll be able to order drinks, a light lunch or just a place to sit and watch the people as they come and go. In the evening they have (or they did have while we were there) entertainment to hold your interest if you decide not to use one of the pools (1 inside 1 outside and the biggest I've ever seen), spa or beach area. The room was very clean with a comfy bed and a great bathroom, nice deep soaking tub with all the amenities you'd need for a good soak and a roomy shower. Just keep in mind this is a FAMILY resort so there are children who are sometimes running around.
Dining is for the most part Asian although there are a few western items. There is more of a western choice that you can pick from at the bar though. Enjoyed our stay.More
