We booked a canopy plunge pool and were assigned room no. 401. We did call the hotel to pre-inspect and have the room in order. We arrived at 15.10 and were requested to do the ATK test for Covid-19 prior to check-in. While waiting for the result, we were invited to have high tea which was in the package. We checked in the room at 5 and found the room was a nightmare. Cleanliness was not up to par and light bulb was broken. Furniture was worn out and sofa needs to be changed. Black spot (mold like) was found on the curtain. Plunge pool got no water when we arrived. The toilet was smelly without ventilation system so you need to hold your breath while you use it.

The strong points of this hotel are its location on the secluded beach, management and staff who are friendly and attentive. However, with such a price I paid, I would expect better as well as value for money. So, I would hesitate to recommend others to stay in canopy plunge pool.

Room tip: Seabreeze suite is cheaper with nicer seaview.

This small resort has a beautiful landscape.
Quiet and private. Near the famous restaurants such as The Sky gallery, The Chocolate factory and Three mermaids. We stay in 2 room type.
1. The Sea breeze room has a nice sea view. We love the view from this room.
2. The canopy plunge pool. The housekeeping drain the water out of the pool, clean it and fill new water in before we check in. It’s a good process in this pandemic time.
We can see the service mind of all staffs here. They try their best to offer anything we need. They solve some problems in the room (eg. The keycard problem and the sliding door problem) with quick respond.
There’re 8-10 Breakfast menu. You can choose one or more. All the menu look great and delicious.
We have a good time here.

Located on a secluded promontory point in Pattaya you’ll find the delightful Monttra. The location is secluded and lush, with superb vistas of the gulf of Thailand. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, modern and with a quite large bathroom/shower area (at least in the plunge pool room we had!). But the real gem of Monttra is Kiin - the on-site restaurant which serves some of the most delicious Thai food we’ve had during our three years in Thailand! The cooking at Kiin is truly outstanding. Monttra shares a small beach with the sailing club next door. It’s a perfectly serviceable beach for a dip in the ocean. But, if you’re looking for a hotel where you can have lazy afternoons on the beach, then this is not the place for you. During weekdays the sailing club is relatively quiet, so once you walk down the steps to the beach you can have it to yourself. But on the weekends the sailing club is fairly frenetic, so you will be dodging dinghies and catamarans to find your way across the sand. That said, the infinity pool is lovely and the views are wonderful! So I don’t think the beach situation should be a deal breaker as Monttra has so many other qualities to recommend it. Finally, my only suggestion is that the management invest in a greater supply of pool towels - for some inexplicable reason these were in short supply throughout our 3 day stay and that’s not good for a pool/beach hotel! Monttra is the perfect getaway for a few days and you won’t even realize you’re amidst the hustle and bustle of Pattaya in this quiet oasis!

This was our second visit to this small resort. Most has been said about it: very friendly reception, nice room with many amenities that are all complementary, small but lovely and shaded pool, quiet environment around the pool, great breakfast and snacks served in the afternoon. A nice place to unwind.

We visitted the hotel during the end of the strict quarantine. The hotel was one of a fews that were open during such hard time. We enjoyed the beach, nature and atmosphere. We want to thank K. Bee specially for her hospitality and extra-ordinary service. Only one down side is that the sea water was very dirty in one afternoon. I asked the next-door hotel’s staffs (sailing club) why and they said its the drain water that the sailing club let out. Hope this can be improved. Not only this area, but the whole Pattaya.
