We stayed at the Grand Hotel for a week with our three year old daughter, who especially enjoyed the selection of pools. The hotel location affords it a great view and the compound it self has enough to offer, that we were happy to lounge around the hotel grounds for almost the entire time.

Our stay was somewhat out of season, which meant that more than half of the 11 on-site restaurants were closed. Something worth keeping in mind, when planning a stay. On the other hand, most of everything else was still open and never had to share pool space with other guests. In fact, on multiple occasions, we had entire pool areas to ourselves.

The hotel is starting to show it's age and one could argue, that it's due for an overhaul, but in general, it is a very nice place to stay and most of the grounds are very well kept.

The kids club(renowned to be one of the best in Pattaya) felt worn down and lacklustre. With no daylight reaching anywhere inside and the interior lighting being nothing short of appalling, I wouldn't recommend spending more than an hour at a time. Staff was also being quite insisting when the prepaid hour was about to expire. Almost like they were afraid we would leave witout paying.

In general the service is very good. Albeit much of the staff have limited English language skills, which can present a challenge. I found that this not uncommon in Thailand, but for a five star hotel with an international appeal, I was expecting a bit more.

The food is somewhere between decent and great, depending on the dish. Prices are significantly higher than comparable offerings around town though. In fact, the hotel seems to overcharge for every service they provide, but that is to be expected at luxury resorts.

The breakfast buffet at the Beach Hotel / Panorama Restaurant got old quite fast, even though the quality of the food was good, the selection just seemed a bit uninspired and repetitive.

All in all, we had a great stay and would whole heartedly recommend the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel to other families.

We are glad you could enjoy the numerous facilities of our resort including our beautiful pools offering stunning scenarios and overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

We were also pleased to read that you enjoyed the service you received from our dedicated team members despite the communication issues encountered.

Concerning the food, the Royal Cliff has many different types of cuisine to offer and following the pandemic, we are reopening the restaurants at a study path. Our Huang Chao, a Chinese restaurant, will be reopening fully starting on the 1st of November.

As you mentioned some facilities were outdated, please note that we renovate around the resort often and area by area. We wish to offer modern facilities and accommodations to our guests. This is a huge property, split up in several hotels (Royal Cliff Grand, RC Beach etc) which are all interconnected. We stayed in the "Grand", and had a great stay, and although it seemed there were ot all that many people when we were there, the hotel has the feel of a "tour group hotel". We had a large room with balcony and perfect sea view. Room was perfect. The hotel is very child friendly. The hotel is located at the beach, but the beach strip is very narrow and the sea is dirty (plastic bottles,...) so you will end up spending most of your time near one of the multiple pools. Good for a week-end away from Bangkok (incl with chdilren) if you are intending to just relax. Several restaurants on the premises that are quite good and reasonably priced. We had not bought the breakfast buffet option, and after having a look at it, decided to give it a pass: the spread was extensive, but it was too crowded and it all looked a bit "mass volume". But overall a nice experience staying in this place

Room tip: Book a room with sea view. It is worth it!

It is a wonderful time to spend it here. Staffs are smiling and welcoming you with love. Facilities are built for your enjoyment. Private beach give the luxury and relaxing you deserve after longtime of hard work. If you don’t want to go anywhere in pattaya and spending whole time inside the hotel it worths.

Staff are attentive. Our room are excellent with panorama scenery and especially at the sunset. Great hospitality and location is superb. We stayed 2 nights and very convenient for exploring around the city.
