Lovely cooked food excellent service and nice surroundings. Even brought over a fan just for me when I mentioned I was hot. Favorite dish was the blackboard special, mango sticky rice. Yum.
Next door to womens massage from ex prisoners and opposite a wonderful wat entrance on a tree lined Avenue.

We stayed for about 7 days here.

Staff: Really pleasant the whole time. Very helpful.

Price: Reasonable. About 450B for air con double with all the frills (serviced daily)

Hotel Facilities: Restaurant with really good Thai food, average western food

Room: Double with balcony facing the car park (which is away from the main road and quiet). Room has a small fridge/freezer, small safe, flatscreen, desk, fan, Air con, everything was quite new looking. Clean and stylish.

Wifi: Really good. Good enough to stream or do some work.

Bathroom: Super clean. New looking.

Towels: Nice

Location: Great, close to other restaurants, food markets 2 mins walk

Best thing: Great tom yam soup
Worst thing: There was a little bit of banging in the day as they're renovating other rooms but this wasn't really a problem

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are away from the busy main road

We really enjoyed our stay at Bon Ca Va. The owners were really friendly and helpful. They looked after our bags overnight when we went to visit an elephant park, provided us with a map of Chiang Mai and also helped us organise transport to the airport. The room was clean and spacious, and was cleaned everyday. Even though breakfast isn't included you can buy it for a very reasonable price and it is delicious! It's a 5 min walk from the Sunday walking street market and only takes 10 mins to the airport. Next time we're in Chiang Mai we will be staying here again!

Rooms are basic, but in Thailand thats all you should really expect. There is a cute restaurant downstairs which has great breakfast and a ton of thai options for lunch and dinner as well. The rooms were clean, wifi worked well throughout the place and they do have a hair dryers!! Overall the location of this place was perfect and I can't say anything bad about our experience.

My husband and I stopped here a couple of times for drinks whilst exploring old town. There is a majestic Wat (temple) complex across the road and after a few photos taken in the temple, this place is a good pit stop. They have a very strong wifi signal that reaches within a good few meters outsude of the restaurant premises. On our first stop, we had cold Singha and fries topped with cheese. The menu has a lot to offer with a vegetarian selection too. On our second visit, we stopped for rum and coke which was nicely mixed.
This restaurant is right next door to Women's Massage center by ex prisoners. I highly recommended a stop before or after a massage next door.

There is an Al Fresco seating area which has some fans to tackle the heat. The staff are quick to set up a parasol too to shield guests from the sun. The inside area is neat and bright. I like the wooden bench type seats Al fresco. There is an eclectic mix match of decors inside which if anything is a bit confused. Is it old Americana or French as the name implies or maybe it's the French quarter Americana? Anyway, these are just personal observations.

I will be back and try their food properly before I leave Chiang mai.
