I wasn’t too sure what I was expecting but Rarinjinda was a nice quiet getaway from all the craziness. It was a great location to come home to and relax. One thing to note is you only have access to one pool. The pool with the jets (which I saw pics while researching the hotel) is part of the spa which you need to pay for (~400-500 baht). I wish they made this clear and is the only reason I’m taking away one star.

This is a rather strange, soulless hotel with no bar on the premises and you have to take breakfast in a restaurant across an often busy road which we safely crossed, with much whistle blowing and hand waving, thanks to one of the friendly security guards. Our three night stay was made memorable mainly by the amazingly attentive reception staff who were so obliging. Just handing over a room key was done so graciously and with the hands placed together in front of the chest and head slightly bowed forward. So 'sawasdee' from Wales to Nook, Milk, Nicha, Aof and of course the musical Chin who managed to make the WiFi finally work in our room. We wish you all well in your respective careers.

We stayed at Rarinjinda for five nights at the end of February and we were not disappointed. The rooms were beautifully clean, spacious and quiet and the staff were always polite and welcoming.

The pool area was small but very clean and never overcrowded - we always managed to get a bed if we wanted to.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the old town square which was fine for us but you can always pick up a tuk tuk outside of the hotel if you need to.

There was a good selection of food available at breakfast and lovely views over the river if you sit outside. The only reservation I have is that tea and coffee were not included at breakfast, you had to pay extra for these which doesn’t seem right.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a high quality hotel in Chiang Mai.

The hotel is more like a residence with no feeling and soul, has old bathroom and the actual booked room was not available, the value for money is not ok. Breakfast is not what I would expect from a Wellness Spa Resort.

We had booked 2 weeks at the RarinJinda, and we were extremely impressed.

With regards to our room, we were moved to a poolside room due to some renovation work happening at the pool area. This work lasted just 3 days, but the hotel manager (Neeranuch Khunpreeda) was fantastic, and moved us to a more superior room! She did so much for us whilst the work was going on. Clean room, lovely bathroom, comfy bed.

The breakfast over the road at Deck 1 was great. Not too sure why so many negative comments about breakfast, but the fresh fruit, cakes, juice and meat were all available. I personally dont come to Thailand to have a full english breakfast each morning, so perfect to me!

The location of the hotel is ideal. It's a 2 minute walk over the bridge to a busy area with plenty of markets. The hotel offers a free 5 minute comfy ride in a clean people carrier every night at 7pm to the Night Bazaar. Never had a night of being bored!

The ambience of the hotel was amazing, the spa was fantastic, the people are extremely accomodating, and always happy to help.

If we were to visit Chiang Mai again, we would most certainly stay here again! I think we found a winner!!!!

Room tip: Peaceful and tranquil - as expected!
