This hotel is in a great location for the Night Market - it's just across the road. Stalls, shops and resturants surround the hotel. Walking distance to the Sunday Walking Market. Hotel breakfast was average but that's partly because being English I'm just not used to an 'asian' breakfast! Room was a little dated but large and clean and tidy. Swimming pool was a nice addition and free transfers to and from the airport.

I stayed 3 nights and would come back.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Not far from the airport, and in the middle of the night market, near an excellent massage parlour (the best massage I had in Thailand – a foot massage for 180 baht, which is in fact a full body massage). The parlour is open until 1:00am

The hotel itself is old fashioned. The room is medium sized, the bed is large and comfortable, however the room needs renovation. The bathroom tiles are chipped and there was odd graffiti on the wall, the room door was very difficult to open. Free water bottles were given.

Upon leaving the hotel, we had an argument with the front desk regarding a laundry bag gone missing, for which they charged 50 baht. As a rule, the staff were extremely unfriendly and sour-faced.

The only good thing in the hotel apart from the location is the excellent breakfast, which included omelets, hard boiled eggs, cakes, deserts, many fresh fruits and vegetables, and also steamed vegetables.

I go Chiang mai for working last month, I stay in royal princess hotel. There is very nice, cheap ,good facility and good location to shopping. With the good service and nice break first, nightlife to clubing, cheap local food and night market just in front of the hotel and walk around.

Great breakfast lots of variety. Stayed for 3 nights before heading to Bangkok. Irish pub in courtyard on opposite side of road and 50 metres. Markets at your door steps and coffee and ice cream shop right next door. We stayed on 11th floor. Very modern room including bathroom. Would stay again.

GOOD STUFF:
-location: second to none for the night markets are right outside.
-Shuttle Bus service to the big shopping centre near the airport - lovely and runs on an efficient timetable
-FANTASTIC breakfast spread - pastries, western and eastern dishes, salads and juice.tea.coffee... fantastic start to the day.
-restaurant meals are nice and not overpriced either.

NOT SO GOOD STUFF:
-rooms outdated and plumbing in need of an upgrade - sink constantly blocked.

OVERALL: We'd definitely stay here again.
