Took the afternoon trip, left Chaing Mai at noon, back by 8pm. Approx 4 hours with Elephants.
You are out in the jungle, the terrain is hilly and muddy. some agility needed, you will get muddy.
They give you a T shirt to wear and rubber boots for your feet.
Maybe take water shoes with you (they will tell you to leave behind, but they would have been nice in the river).
Didn't fine it buggy but there were a few leaches (one in our group had three, most of us had none).
Guides were great, but the stars of the show was the 4 gentle giants. you get as close as you want to. No riding.

We did the morning half day jungle tour and it was great! We had 4 people in our tour, but met up with 2 other people when we got there. Kim, our guide was super nice and knowledgeable. Her English was also great so it helped a lot and made the tour smoother. The tour was as expected per the itinerary details posted online. We get picked up from our hotel and drive for about an hour until we reach the sanctuary. The walk is very muddy and boots were provided! Kim made sure to inform everyone about the boots and made sure we had socks before we left our hotel. When we first got there, we got to meet baby Valentine and had to part ways since he was still too young to go on the walk. They provided 3 elephants for us on our tour. We got to feed them plenty, walk with them and play with them in the water. The walk for the half day wasn't too long, but we do go downhill so it did get a bit slippery. Other then that, it was an awesome experience to be able to get so close to these gentle giants!

Jackie was a great tour guide and we enjoyed our trip. We even got a bonus trip to see a small Karon village and try locally grown/brewed coffee. Would recommend!

The whole experience was incredible. We were picked up from our hotel right on time in a very comfortable vehicle. The tour was incredible, from feeding the elephants, to the best part walking to the waterfall to bath with the elephants. We really appreciated the fact that we were only 5 people in the tour, compared to other tours where they had very large groups. That meant we had lots of time feeding and bathing the elephants. Valentine, the baby elephant was the cutest thing ever. He was extremely playful and naughty. It was incredible how gentle the adult elephants were. We also liked how the keepers treated the elephants and let them be. The place was incredible. In the way to the waterfall we could also see the rice fields and my husband and son even had the opportunity to thresh rice, which was an extremely enriching experience. Ms Lida our guide was very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and attentive. Mr. Surin was great at promptly communicating with us via email regarding what to expect and when and by whom we were going to be pick up. This was by far the best experience we had in Thailand. Highly recommendable.

My husband and I were incredibly lucky to have the best tour guide Chiang Mai has to offer..Mr T who spoke great English and a fabulous sense of humor. He was a big part in making our day tour of Doi Suthep Temple...Orchid Farm..Tiger Kingdom...Mork Fa Waterfalls tour SO much fun. He even honored our request to take us to a silk store so we could purchase real Tai Silk. Amazing experience at every stop and we were lucky enough to pay extra to pet and have pictures with the tigers which I highly recommend. Both my husband and I say thus should be #1 on Trio Advisor. And you should be so lucky to have Mr T as your tour guide as he truly will enhance this amazing experience of this tour.

This was the highlight of our 9 day trip in Thailand. Meeting 9 month old baby Valentin was amazing. He is so cute. We were 5 people in our party and had the elephants to ourselves during the half day trip. After making some food for them and feeding the we walked to the unbelievably freezing river to splash and bathe the elephants. The adrenaline rushing and having so much fun splashing that you forget how cold the river was. The elephants would shoot water out of their trunks and wet everyone in the area. Our guide took our phones and took pictures and video during the da6 and all you see are the biggest smiles on our faces. It was such a happy day. The elephants are well taken care off and did not see any mistreatment of them. Their handlers had the upmost respect for them and show genuine care and love for them. Im glad these elephants have a home here.

A good way to spend a half a day. Pick up was in a luxury vehicle. On the 90 minute ride home, we passed many of the other elephant camps with their customers riding in very old songthaews.
There were only four of us on the trip and they only had three elephants to trek to the water fall.

My friend and I did a lot of research and these guys were true to their word. The most incredible day and they look after the ellys so well. They are happy loving and complete safe and cherished. The day itself was fantastic. We were looked after so well, especially by Wit, who picked us up from our hostel and came on the tour. The scenery was indescribable, high in the mountains with tropical green tranquility surrounding us. Lunch was delicious where the easily catered for my celiac allergy and being veggie, then after our treck and time in the waterfall with just ourselves and then the ellys, we headed back and were given more food, homemade hot chips and fruit beautifully presented. We were then given an infinite window to interact with the new baby elly, mum and another male too. The Thai tour guides were encouraging and got us involved where we played and had full interaction. We were constantly offered bottled water too and even on the way to the sanctuary Wit stopped off at a beautiful rural coffee shop for us to grab a drink. Everything was just awesome.

Thoroughly recommend, it was amazing.
