back again in chiang mai and stayed at veerachai court again.good price fan room as usual.the room is always clean when you arrive and provide the usual sheeting towels etc.i have my own so no problem.the owner was always there to help you if you had a issue with the room, but I never had a problem the times I stayed there.
the security is first class for your vehicle and the security guard is polite and opens the gates everytime you approach any time of the night you get back.
so if you want a pleasant place to stay go there, the shop provides many of the daily needs as well.i have no problem staying there again for the location and what it offers for the people.i can not praise enough what the owners provide at a fair price.

Room Tip: all about the same standard in what price bracket you chose

Veerachai Court is on a side street (Soi 4 I think), about 4 blocks down from the main road. About 10 minute walk to the night market.
It's also a long-term apartments for ex-pats.
Basic place to stay reasonable price. Very well run. Clean.
there's a convenience store next to the check in desk, so you don't have to hike 3 blocks to the 7-11.
We stayed for 3 nights. I actually enjoyed hanging out front, drinking a beer (available in the store) and talking with the regulars each evening.
There's also a great breakfast restaurant next door (forgot the name, but literally next door). You can get a tasty western breakfast for 100B.
Room was only 500B / night.
NO FREE WIFI... WiFi is an extra 50B/day. (550B with WiFi is still cheap). The only downside.

My room was basic but clean. If im honest I had stayed in nicer places for the same price if not cheaper. Walking distance from the markets was about 10 mins. Location of the hotel was down one of the back streets. There is a handy little shop downstairs and you call also book trips at reception.

The website for this hotel is very misleading. The rooms are not as big as shown. As for the city view you only get this if you are on the top 3 floors. Floor 5 and below you have a filthy wall about 3 feet from the window. The other side just faces the car park and again anything below 5 and thats all you see. The little shop sells coffee and toast but look to see where they wash the crockery before you eat and drink there. It is a very dirty sink the other side of the reception door outside. Staff miserable, and if light bulb should go while you are in room you will get charged 25 baht for new one!!

Wanted somewhere to stay for month but moved after few days and found better place for same money. Paul, Sussex UK

Room Tip: Look at room before you book. Wish I had,

Three different buildings at this resort. I stayed in the 'middle' one. Very clean, safe and reasonably priced. Rooms a little on the small side. Has handy shop below and good restaurants nearby. The only downside is that it is largely occupied by long-stay regulars, so 'newbies' feel a bit left out. Many of them are rather loud Americans and you can hear their voices resonate around the buildings. For this reason, I would probably try somewhere else next time, which is a shame as it is a nice place and very efficiently run.

Room Tip: Higher floors may be further away from the loud regulars. stay away from the front, road side.
