Great boutique hotel in the Old City in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to Wat Phra Singh and the Sunday Market.
Thanks to Kit and the front desk staff who made the stay extra special and were able to upgrade my daughters room to a Junior Suite. Double rooms are small but comfortable. Welcome coconut juice was so refreshing. Nice to have daily bottles of water and a mini fridge. Cute elephant towel animals and almond cookies on our night before departure.
Breakfast was very good. The cook at the omelette, egg and pancake station was so sweet. Liked the selection of fruits, vegetable and noodles that changed daily. Fresh croissants with homemade jam and Brie were delicious as was the addictive banana cake. Thanks for the takeaway box for our 6:30 AM flight and ordering an early taxi. Not sure how our family of 5 and luggage fit into the small cab, but we did.
Air conditioning worked well, but the water heater for the showers went from freezing to scalding to freezing in minutes. They also need shower curtains to prevent water to go everywhere in the bathroom.
Thanks again to Kit and the 5 Star staff who made it a great five night stay. We would definitely choose Le Charcoa in the future. More
