Although Erawan House showed full on the internet, we walked up and were able to get a room. The room was clean and nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The travel agents downstairs were instrumental in getting our flights booked cheaply elsewhere. The wifi connection doesn't really work upstairs, which was the only minor inconvenience. It was quiet enough, despite being so close to Khao San Road.

A note about Khao San Road (not related to the hotel) - it's fun to stay a night, but it's really a tourist trap that doesn't offer any kind of authentic Thai experience. If you're looking for a bohemian traveler experience and to meet up with other travelers, it's a good place to hang out. Otherwise, try the other parts of Bangkok!

Room Tip: Rooms closer to ground floor may have better WiFi access.

The people behind the desk are super nice and helpful, the location is perfect for experiencing Bangkok since its near the markets and theres some decent street food when you go left out of the hotel, what can I say? id stay here again, the resturants around the corner and infront of the hotel are decent even though the menu's look old a haggard, the hotel does a laundry service for 35 baht per kilo, which is pretty good, it comes back clean fresh and ironed! perfect, again staff were amazing,

Will go again.

This hotel is in an ideal location in the part of Bangkok that contains most of the historical attractions. It is a ten minute walk through bustling markets to Khoa San Road and across the road from the river pier which is great for getting around the attractions also. The rooms are basic, but great for the price. The shower and air conditioning were good and a fridge is provided also. The porter and reception staff are all welcoming and helpful too. There is free wifi and when you check out you can leave your luggage with the hotel until you depart also. The Erawan travel service is also recommended for transport to other areas and the airport if required, and organising trips to places such as Calypso.

excellent location close to most of the major attractions, also very close to where you can board a river taxi that for very cheap (around $1 USDA) it can take you anywhere along the river in Bangkok... the ride itself is fun and an adventure. Air conditioned rooms, travel agent at the front desk, refrigerator, comfortable beds.
