I stayed 6 nights in this hotel and found it to be very clean well run and a touch of class. The staff where very attentive and the room was made up at least twice a day. The weather was very hot for my stay touching 39dgs!as a result I needed to shower a couple of times each day - in the morning and in the evening so the supply of fresh towels was most welcome. The air-conditioning worked like a charm.
The staff where very attentive and the concierge was most helpful with directions etc. I used the Gym which is well equipped and the pool are which was a little disappointing its on outside pool on the 6th floor, it’s a little small and not too deep, and as the building immediately beside the hotel is under construction it was a bit noisy. I will hasten to say that at no time did the noise invade the inside of the hotel as it seems to be well insulated. Food and drink prices in the hotel are somewhat expensive compared to local bars and restaurants however there is a nice atmosphere and very comfortable surroundings. I would definitely return.

Spent 3days here and was very impressed with all facets of the hotel. Executive lounge made the stay extremely pleasant and comfortable. Staff were impressive and the bed was by far the best in Thailand. Close to all amenities, shopping, bars, restaurants and all transport. Highly recommended.

I recently stayed at this Hotel for a week in March 2012.
The Hotel is in a good location, clean and rooms were good. I've previously stayed at the Sheraton which is very good but too pricey hence the reason why I stayed at the Grand Millennium.
Pool is small, bar is outrageously expensive however the staff were excellent, polite and warm. Rooms are a reasonable size and cleaning service was very good. Some area's of carpet within the Hotel are showing signs of wear but on balance this was a pleasant stay in a Hotel which offered good value.
Wifi was sadly too expensive so I used to go to the Black Swan pub nearby who offer free wifi.
Good value, good location, clean, great staff and I would stay here again based on the price.
I would classify this Hotel as 4.5 star

Room Tip: I just got a standard room which was fine !

I've never been greeted by so many hotel team at a hotel stay before, but this hotel does it from the doorman, concierge, duty manager, housekeeping and the chefs of course. In fact Bangkok/Thailand deserves the title Truly Smiling Asia, everywhere I go I get the same attitude, which is very kind and humble.

Its been years since I came to Bangkok, last trip might be 10-15 years ago. The city has changed a lot, note do plan where you want to go and the route as traffic is crazy sometimes it just doesn't move. Taking BRT or MRT might be easy its about 5 minutes walk max from the hotel. When you arrive at the Airport do take the AOT for taxi/limo service, I get charged 1100 Baht one way which is relatively cheap and good service, I would recommend booking the way back as well. Its really a good deal at the end of the day and the cars are clean and spacious.

Now lets get to the hotel - arrival was smooth, you'll the reception clean and clear with lovely ladies standing by. If you arrive during the evening, you will hear the live music which plays beautifully across the lobby acoustic.

Getting up to your room takes minutes, do swipe your keycard for security reason which is excellent. Again swipe keycard to open your door and you need to insert your keycard in the right direction to switch on the power, I didnt try but from the looks of it normal card would not work like in old hotels if you slot it in just power your room. I have to note that the hallway is a bit warm, but slightly could be due to temperature variance.

The room is spacious and very contemporary, clean cut in design - my kind of room. The TV could be bigger :) but it does come with tv menu and entertainment (payable). Air con control works well, I've been to many hotels that have air con control that just dont work, this one can adjust temperature instantly so thats another point.

Bathroom is just like any new hotels style that has open transparent window, like resort style. But you can close down the drape for privacy and same goes for the loo that has a separate door. The basin is clean and no clutter so good for your stuff. Separate shower is available as well.

Now the bed, these are very nice and soft comfy bed, I sleep like a light and the duvet are just nice and clean, so excellent housekeeping has been placed in effort. I didnt use the Internet as I didnt have enough time, but I did note it was WIFI friendly, but there is a separate charge to it.

I had a drink at the inblur lobby bar I believe is the name and the entertainment was excellent and the ladies are chatty here while I wait for an associate. I dine at the Tapas restaurant the second night and was greeted after meal by the Executive Chef and also by Restaurant Chef as well when I arrived, both are really friendly guys which is not what you can see a lot from hotels these days.

I took the hotel limo on the way back to the airport, again it was smooth experience. This are slightly more pricey than AOT but service wise is better and bigger car - mine was BMW 7 or 8 series I believe so worth the price. Also to note many taxis in Bangkok does not provide receipts so be prepared if you come in for a business trip, either you charter a car like from the hotel or AOT so they can give you an official receipts.

All and all great hotel, really friendly team and great location which is across one of the major shopping centre I believe it is Terminal 21? (again didnt have enough time to check it out, but next time for sure)

Room Tip: Room are very quiet and no noise. I always go for non-smoking room, hey lets the environment green o...

Reviews for the Grand Millenium are mixed, but I had a good experience there, staying 4 nights for a business meeting with about 30 colleagues. My room was large, well furnished in modern Asian hotel style, and very functional. The large bathroom had big fluffy towels like English hotels. Everything worked well. The wired Internet service was fast. The wifi signal in my particular room was weak and barely usable. But it was OK I'm the meeting rooms & public areas.

Breakfast was either ala cartels buffet, and the buffet was vast and accommodated all preferences - Japanese, Westen "healthy", eggs & sausage, Indian, etc. etc. The main restaurant had a reasonable range of lunch and dinner choices, rather overpriced.

The staff was friendly and almost too helpful. Food at the business meeting was OK and there's we're staff around to help with tea & coffee. The hotel is an easy walk from the Asok MRT (subway) station and the E4 skyway station. It's also an easy walk from the Station 21 middle class shopping mall, which boasts 104 places to eat and 400+ shops. It's a 35-60 minute taxi ride from the airport. The cost is about 250 to 300 baht (US$10) plus 50 - 100 baht in tolls. Don't let the driver talk you into a "bargain" fixed price of 500 baht - insist on going by the meter.

When you book, as for a rate that includes breakfast and Internet.

Room Tip: Ask for a rate that includes breakfast & Internet.
