The Courtyard in Bangkok is another of example of how Marriott has created a reliable, affordable choice. The suite on the executive floor is large enough to comfortably host meetings, the staff is accommodating and pleasant. The price was competitive for the area. As a frequent traveler there is not much more that I can ask. Would recommend without hesitation.

We stays for 2 nights during our honeymoon after visiting Chiang Mai and
China Rai in the northern Thailand. I must say that this was the best hotel I stayed in during my whole honeymoon (Koh Samui - Imperial Boat House included). Nothing to say other that it was perfect: beautiful room, clean as you might desire to have your own house, staff was friendly and helpful, no language barrier communication problems (they speak English perfectly!! ...in the other hotels it was not to be taken for granted!!). Good position and AMAZING restaurant: we ate at the Momo cafe and they simply impressed us with their perfect service and really delicious food (both European and Thai!!). What can I say? Go there to relax a little but while enjoying the crazy Bangkok!!

Considering you can get a really cheap room in Bangkok, our room was a bit pricey. However, it was clean, safe and well decorated. Great location for anyone who wants to shop. Another plus is that the taxi driver knew of this hotel as it is a major chain - some hotels are so obscure that taxis drivers don't know where the hotel is located in the vast city!

This hotel was a big surprise as the Marriott Courtyard in the USA is usually a 3 star airport hotel. The Courtyard in Bangkok cost me about 95 usd per night. The hotel was great. Very friendly staff and great service ! The rooms were simple but nice and also a bit colorful which helps too. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The cafe was cool and good food too. and they even have a nice pool ! Definitely a great deal and worth it !

We are backpackers on an around-the-world trip and splurged for our wedding anniversary to spend 5 nights at this Courtyard Marriott property. Here is why we think this is an excellent hotel:

Location: Cannot be beat! It is situated in a cluster of similarly nice hotels in the "embassy district" of Bangkok. The closest BTS Skytrain station is only a 5 minute walk, and the hotel conveniently provides a free tuk-tuk service. While in a more high-end area of Bangkok, there are ample and delicious street food options included an alley of small eateries just to the right when exiting the hotel. We are not big shoppers, but if shopping is your thing, look no further; there are multiple large mall complexes around the corner.

Room: very clean and spacious. We stayed on the 10th floor and enjoyed the view of the skyline. As backpackers, we appreciated the built-in luggage storage surface and ample closet/drawer space. The mini-fridge was well stocked, including free drinking water. We enjoyed having an electric kettle to make coffee and tea (also complimentary). The bathroom was spacious as well, including a glass shower with a bench. Our only criticism was that our towels were exchanged everyday, even though we left them on the racks to be environmentally friendly.

Service: every person we encountered provided superb service, including the doormen, concierge, front desk, room service, pool/gym attendant and bartender. All special requests were fulfilled correctly and promptly - we never had to ask for anything twice.

Facilities: the pool and gym were both in pristine condition. While neither had anything particularly amazing, they were a welcomed addition to our stay. There is a small convenience store for snacks, postcards, etc. and a small business center as well.

While this hotel is a little higher end then where we generally stay on our current trip around the world, it matches up well with other similar hotels where we have stayed in the past. You will receive excellent value for your money if you are able to find a deal on a room rate online.

Room Tip: Rooms on high floors (10th and up)
