“Good value and location”
Reviewed 15 July 2012

Great rooms and nice restaurants. The pool and the gym are also nice. Very good spa. On the river and very easy to get around by shuttle boat or sky train.

Yes, this hotel is on the 'opposite' side of the river, but it is easy to get to with the private Hilton river taxi as well as the shuttle running across the river.

Get a room on a high floor for a great view. Make sure to visit the swimming pool with a stellar view of the river. I'd also recommend a romantic hot tub during sunset (bring your own booze if you want to save some dough).

The rooftop bar is small, but very romantic with nice views of the river. The rooms are immaculate. Architecture and design are modern and chic. This is an outstanding business or vacationers hotel - those who demand service and an 'experience'.

Soon there will be BTS (metro) service at or near this hotel. When it does come, I expect rates here to go up accordingly.

Outstanding stay overall. If you can afford this place (or can use your Hilton points) it is a beautiful place in a big city just waiting to be explored.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with a river view.

in the Lobby Lounge of the hotel you can try the Afternoon Tea package with a big pot of Tea from an exotic selection like Mint, Oolong or PuEr among others and you will get a 3-tier tray set with a Sandwich, Croissant and small cakes and pastries to sweeten the experience - what a wonderful experience after a long day of sightseeing and shopping!

Room Tip: rooms to the East have view over the river ideal for watching the sunrise and some of the other rest...

We got the chance to stay in this property right before the flooding in 2011 got too bad. The experience was one big WOW. This was the first time we got to stay in the Khlong San district and it was a pleasant change compared to the hustle and bustle of the Siam/Pathum Wan area we were more accustomed to. Despite being relatively away from the beaten paths of Bangkok, the surrounding areas offer a variety of attractions for the urban explorer. Ask the concierge to arrange for a boat tour of the canal locks and the nearby Wats that dot the riverside (if you want to scale a prang, head for Wat Arun). You can also take advantage of the free cross-river shuttles that the hotel provides to reach the BTS Skytrain. Right next door to the hotel itself is a street market that leads to a pier for the mass-transit ferries. The market is a foodie's delight with numerous street-food vendors that offer a wide variety of treats. The hotel itself is amazing, the rooms are modern and pristine and the staff are impeccably well mannered. There's a well-equipped gym and pool. Make sure you cap off your adventures each night at the Three Sixty Lounge on the 32nd floor. You can enjoy a breathtaking view of Bangkok as you sip on a single-malt. Our stay was woefully too short, but this hotel has earned itself a return visit from us sometime in the future!

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the right portion of the Chao Praya!
