Handy river for getting around Bangkok. Also nice to sit by and watch the river shuttles, long tail boats and barges go about their busy day.

The river that runs straight to Bangkok. Filled with action. Cross it, to see Wat Arun or watch long tail boats and tugboat barges sail by.

You won't find a relax trip here, the amount of boats, the smell of water.. The trash, dead fishes on water it will make you regret... We made a trip around 3 hours and the time on boat was disgusting..

From long boats to river buses, this is the way to get around the city. It is an experience on the floating platforms as the boats bounce in. Stick to the orange flag boats as they are cheaper and stop where you want. The tourist boats have limited stops and charge much more. The longboats are interesting with the size of the engines and are good for the canals. Our hotel over looked the river and the party boats, dinner cruises at night made sure the river and life on it is really the heart and soul of Bangkok.
