The market is not so big but enough to find every food you are looking for and other craft presents. It seems almost clean and tidy compared to others or Chinatown market. The trip on the boat is an experience (water is dirty crowded of fishes): it worthwhile it.

I do love, kids dont as they are crowded, smelly, pretty dirty etc. But the food here is real Thai, fruits much cheaper then elsewhere in Bangkok and canals (dirty) are also somehow nice. So would definitely recommend.

Dated back to the time when most poeple lived by the river or along the canals. Waterways were served as the main method of transportation in Bangkok. Settlement which sprawled along the river banks and winding canals outside the city wall, formed several ethenic and diverse communities.
Best place to visit.

Get there early. Gets busy fast. Lots of food. More locals, less tourist. Once there, get a boat to tour the river. Cost is 100bht. Go to end of pier to get tickets and board. Other vendors will try to sell you other tours which cost more. One of the stops on the boat tour is an orchid farm. Not too many varieties of flowers. Overall still an awesome experience
