Supposedly i stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Not even 1 night the trouble came. First impression that the hotel is a bit old in the lobby and the room. Secondly, the queue to the lift was terrible. The air con was the best sound system in the world. And the best of all, at 3 o clock in the morning someone opened up my room's door. Luckily i chained them up. Another 5 minutes a girl knocking the door and said "ups sorry wrong room" .Another 10 minutes the front office lady called me up through the room's phone and asked why i was in that room. What a perfect question in the middle of the night. I was so pissed off, i went down and showed her my card which was written my room number on it. And another PERFECT question " How can it be? You should be in room number .... ( which i've forgotten the number already)" In the end, i found out that the lady whom i checked in the first time didn't change my room number as i changed to a smoking room. What the hell??? I asked for a full refund and the lady said that night was FREE and the money will be transferred back to my credit card in 1 month and i just couldnt ask for a cash refund. ok thats fine.. The refund was in my account after 3 months and after sending 2 emails asking for refund. Luckily i had a proof of a letter signed by the hotel's front manager on the day that i attached in my email. So i am just hoping no one will have the same PERFECT HOLIDAY experience as I had. Otherwise, u will wake up with other person next to you.

Room Tip: there are plenty of other hotels cheaper with better services

The location was good since the night market is just at the doorstep of the hotel. Platinum Shopping mall and Big C supermall are in a walking distance. A bit far from MBK and Siam Center, probably 20 mins walk.

Hotel room was quite big. But the room service is not so good, very slow response to requests and complaints.

There are two sides of elevator which becomes very inconvenient if members of the family are assigned to different sides. The room key is required when you use the elevators and if you're staying in side A, your room key wouldn't be accepted in elevators of side B.

to the conterary for most of the reviews I have read about this hotel, I have found it a very interesting hotel to spend couple of night. Rooms were reasobably clean quite big and adequatly furnished. I would agrea that the status of the furniture does not match with a 5* hotel but this is almost the case in most of thailand's hotels. One major problem is the lengthy check in and check out.

Baiyoke sky hotel, is very easy to spot on the Bangkok skyline. So if you are wandering the streets looking at the local markets, it is very easy to find your way back. I travelled with 2 other girlfriends and we had booked a sky zone room we were offered the upgrade when we arrived at midnight, so we accepted. Glad we did, we had a huge room on the 68th floor with amazing views of the city. Breakfast was great with an a wonderful smorgasbord every morning. Margaritas in the lounge everynight was also a treat, looking over Bangkok at night time was a lovely experience nice to sit and relax after shopping all day. Whilst the hotel is only a 3 star, it has all the comforts you need for a couple of days wandering around Bangkok, would recommend it to most travellers

Room Tip: Choose a room up high so that you can maximize your time in Bangkok, the view is definitely worth it

Just came back from Bangkok. Was there 4 days 3 nights with late check-in around 1am in the morning. Booked 4 Deluxe Rooms (Sky Zone) but was offered 2 Presidential Suite instead. Took the offer but end up downgrade my group back to Deluxe Room the second day. The room is not well maintained. The decor & furniture not up to par. And there's only ONE bathroom for 4 of us.

Deluxe Room at 56th & 59th floor, same thing. Old and not well maintained. Lucky the bed & bathroom are clean.

View - Excellent especially at night.
Breakfast - Good selection of foods, but table and floor are not clean.
Shopping - Excellent location to Platinum mall, Pratunam market, etc.
MRT & BTS station - Need to walk for 10 - 15 minutes.
Convenience store at the lobby - Excellent. (Can get SIM cards here)

If you're going for shopping, this hotel is value for money.
If you're on vacation, stay away from this hotel.
