Having tried a couple of other hotels in BK at different times, I now never stay anywhere else - it just doesn't get better than the Lebua! The rooms are huge, they have everything you need inside and the beds are incredibly comfortable, the views over BK are outstanding, the staff are very kind and helpful. All the restaurants are superb, the bar at the top of the tower is one of the best places in BK to enjoy a drink with a breath taking view. The buffet breakfast served by the pool is outstanding too, amazing choice, fantastic food quality and great setting.
The location might not be great, but you can easily get to public transport (or just grab a taxi) to get you anywhere you need to go.
Very highly recommended!!!

Come on Guys, maybe you expected me to start with the basic story about "The Hangover II" that was actually filmed in this hotel, but I will skip it for now.

I travel pretty much, 150 days a year, so it's not easy to impress me but very seldom I had seen such a magnificence: a huge building with a very characteristic skyline, an amazing service and excellent food.
A real pearl in the amazing Thailand.

You can get there by the brand new skytrain (stop at S6, then follow the signs and walk 5 mins), or taxi, around 250 baht (less than 7 euros).

Check-in was fast - everybody speaks English even with a cute Thai accent - and they gave me free upgrade to a marvellous 2 rooms suite on the 57th floor (on 64 total) with a choking view of the city. The bathroom was actually as big as a single bedroom in a common city flat.

Free wi-fi, complimentary water and Nespresso (regularly refilled during the day), very clean, complete service and full set of bathrobe.

Swimming pool is on the 20th floor, ideal location even when downstairs people get cooked by the heat of the asphalt in "The Detroit of the Far East" and by the disgusting street food smells.
I have to admit than, despite my good intentions, I didn't visit the gym, that really looked amazing with a direct view on the pool.

I have visited more than 700 hotels in my life but the breakfast is the 2nd ever (after Conrad Hotel in Istanbul) and it's honestly impressive. All you can eat, all you can ask to be cooked - including sushi - juices, beverages, whatever. Simply INCREDIBLE.

The sky bar is one of the nicest places where you can propose to your girlfriend... she will never refuse. Jazz music, a little windy (oh gosh, it's probably 200 meters) but very very fashionable.

All the side services - taxi, concierge, baggage delivery - are on the maximum level.
Some hookers around, very nice quality indeed, but it's Thailand folks... if you want to see priests and nuns please move your lips to the Vatican City.

"Bangkok has me now", but... wasn't I supposed to skip over the Hangover II stuff?!?!?

This set a new standard for us in excellence. It helped that we got a great deal on the booking and that we were upgraded to a suite. But really, the service made it exceptional. Friendly and helpful at all times even to the extent of remembering our names!
Breakfast was another amazing site! A real international feast of very high quality in a beautiful setting.
The views from our balcony was great particularly in the evening with all the city lights.
The highlight though, has to be the rooftop restaurant, Sirocco. I think the meal here with cocktails and wine cost almost as much as our stay - but totally worth it! The food was perfect, as was the service. But more than this was the ambiance of being at an ultra chic, sky high, restaurant overlooking Bangkok by night with live Jazz being subtly sung in the background. Wish I had proposed here!!

Room Tip: They all seemed pretty good!!

We stayed for 5 days in Feb and it was FANTASTIC. The room was very large and very well appointed. The only mistake we made was in booking a city view suite instead of a riverview and had to look over at a large hospital. The breakfast buffet was everything any one could ask for with a very wide selection which changed somewhat each day . Good location with super shopping just a short walk or taxi ride away. The staff was very accomadating and all the front desk people spoke very good English.

Lebua is the nicest Hotel i have ever stayed in, the staff are truly exceptional. The food is perfect with a large variety to choose from. The Sky Restaurant is a sight for sore eyes, the Wine is a little expensive but the experience makes up for it. You must stay here if you visit Bangkok
