If you’re sitting at number 150 on the Tripadvisor list, it means there are 149 better hotels to live in, in Bangkok.
On the face of it, it looks like yet another decent accommodation, managed by the Accor group. But you notice that the furniture and fixtures need some urgent attention. The upholstery looks old and ragged. The bed Is alright, but quite shockingly, the two layers of curtains cannot block-out the early morning harsh Bangkok sunlight from streaming into your room. Which means, be ready for a 6am wake-up, late night, or not, goodday sunshine !
There’s a kitchenette, but no coffee mugs, so if you want to make some tea-bag tea in the microwave, you better not.
Thirdly, the location that everyone’s been raving about. It’s a 15 mins. walk via a rickety footpath to the nearest BTS Chidlom, and 10 mins. to BTS Rachadambri, via a mysterious viaduct of parking bays.
Let’s face it, the surrounding location is mainly corporate and sterile. If you like that kind of thing, go for it. If not, look up something under the top 50 hotel list.More
